It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Movie Character you would like to have as a bjd?

Dec 24, 2014

    1. Characters from all the Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, and Game of Thrones. If they ever make movies of the Dragonriders of Pern series by Anne McCaffrey, maybe those characters would make wonderful dolls. My husband found a couple that reminded him of The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo, but I think it was just a coincidence. I am a romantic at heart, though I live a very logically thought-out life.

    2. Ooo... I really like that movie. Although I'd prefer having the Fawn. The character is just so awesome and detailed. Interesting fact - the same man played both parts. :D

Daenerys just defies hair color preferences.
And as for Nuriko - you're so right. But I like him as a guy too, maybe even more so than as a female. But now you've got me thinking that if I'm going to do a doll based on him, I actually need two. One as female Nuriko and one as male Nuriko. :D:chomp:

    3. @Adell Daenerys has lovely eyes tho. I was wondering if I could peg a black-haired Daenerys for a doll, but that may probably end up looking like a theoretical daughter with Khal Drogo (T_T).

Are you familiar with FY Genbu Kaiden? The leader of the Genbu Warriors has the ability to actually turn into a woman, but he was born a male. People were joking Nuriko would be jealous. For Uruki, a male and female doll would definitely be needed. XD

    4. @AntarelNefertili But that would be so cool to see what a child of theirs might look like!

And yes, I love FY Genbu Kaiden, though I can't get any of my other friends that like FY to read it. I seriously think that Nuriko would be jealous of Uruki's being able to turn into a female. It makes it awkward at first for certain people in Genbu Kaiden at first, though. Personally, I like Takiko better as a heroine than Miyaka, and I sincerely hope that Yuu Watase goes through with writing the second prequel.

    5. Working on making Erik the Opera Ghost from Phantom of the Opera as a doll, though I'm pulling my inspiration from the musical. Would also love to have Indiana Jones, Bruce Banner, and Kylo Ren.

    6. Where do I start?
      - Jareth and Sarah (in ballroom attire) from Labyrinth
      - Jack and Lily from Legend...the whole cast if possible
      - The "Dread Pirate Roberts" and Buttercup from The Princess Bride
      - Atreyu from The Neverending Story
What? You see an 80's Fantasy movie theme?:sweat

    7. My peg for my still-in-transit doll is really a part-dragon woman, so I guess I could try to cosplay her as a daughter of Dany and Drogo. XD

But whyyyyyy? In many aspects I prefer Genbu Kaiden over the original, although I love both of them. :) Hmmmm now you got me thinking about BJD versions of the four priestesses. Poor Suzuno, currently she's the only one who has no canon "summoning attire".

    8. Not a movie but all 8 main(ish) charaters from Rwby and Ms. Goodwich and Ospin and...how about the whole cast lol.

    9. I'm more of a TV person and therefore their are sooo many I'd love as dolls; probably too many to name! ;)

    10. I'm more into video games but I would love to have a doll of Kakihara from the Ichi the Killer film. The face up (especially the scarring) would be so fun to do! I'd probably have to have a cheaper doll to do that with considering I'm still practicing face ups.

    11. Oh and Zelda and Link. I already have my eye on a sculpt for Zelda. Now to hone my skills in embordery and sewing.

    12. I want like, all the Steven Universe characters, but I'm not even sure how I'd pull that off. Super skinny bodies are easy to find, but anything on the fat or muscular side... And I get the feeling I'd ruin the face sculpt trying to sand off the ears.

    13. Ever heard of cross-stitch (also known as needle work)? That can help you get good at embroidery.

    14. OMG! I would love Game of Thrones especially from Targaryen with their silver hair and purple eyes :love or the Lannister with their golden hair. That would be amazing!

    15. Arwin from Lord Of The Rings!!!!!! I can see her in feeple60 Fairyland form hahaha :)

    16. I want an MSD or small SD Liev Schrieber MNM head, somewhere between 25-35yrs., with no sculpted facial hair, to do a couple different movie character cosplays. I own the Toys-Era 1/6 Victor Creed from Wolverine: Origins, but the facial hair on the sculpt is so specific to that character that I can't really dress him as anything other than Sabretooth. ;) Although don't get me wrong, I would save that doll in an emergency!

I love the 80's fantasy doll ideas; I think a Childlike Empress from the first Neverending Story movie would be gorgeous as a fullset. And I ADORE FY: Genbu Kaiden (much more than the original, as Takiko is a vastly better character in my opinion). The priestess outfit from that would be stunning!

    17. I kinda want to make my Shepard from Mass Effect. I feel like this would be a master project though, because I'd want to craft my armor pieces all perfect, scaled weapons and what not. I also have an inkling of an wish to make all my favorite A.I from Halo, to keep my glitchy grumpo company. Idk, I'm super into space right now.

    18. I would like Miyazaki characters. :) Castle in the Sky is my favorite of the films, so maybe Sheeta and Pazu? Or one of the robots would be really cool as a bjd. I think the world could use more robot dolls! ;)

    19. Not a movie, but I'd like to have will Graham and Hannibal Lecter from the TV show Hannibal

    20. Not a movie but Hajime Ichinose from Gatchaman Crowds!! Also Ramona Flowers from Scott Pilgrim!
