1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Movie Character you would like to have as a bjd?

Dec 24, 2014

1. I am just doing that. Favourite Avengers - mainly the Marvel movie characters, but with a personal touch. Right now, I have Tony Stark/Iron Man, Steve Rogers/Captain America and Thor finished. Loki also joined the group (more or less). There will be no Hulk, although Granado's Titan body would be an option. But as I love dragons, I decided to include one in the group.

2. The first movie character I thought about when I read the title was Thranduil :'D But I wouldn't mind Sebastian Michaelis (from the life action movie for black butler) too :3

3. Most of my dolls are characters from TV series - I have almost the full crew as well as some supporting characters from The Magnificent Seven (the '98 TV show, not the movie), the two main characters from The Sentinel (two versions of each), and a BJD representation of KITT from Knight Rider (not the original; I fell in love with the car from that horrible 2008 series, so my KITT is inspired by the Ford Mustang, not the Pontiac Trans Am).

If I had unlimited funds, I also played with the idea of making little chibi versions of the Stargate SG-1 crew, and of the triumvirate from the Star Trek original series and rebooted movies (Spock, Kirk, and McCoy).

As for my newest love - the Captain America movies - I discovered the marvelous Hot Toys action figures, so now I have a HT Winter Soldier coming to me as my Christmas present for myself (btw. thank you Buff, and your tumblr for introducing me to these figures. I really needed another expensive hobby. >.>)

4. the Italian job

5. The "little prince" with is fox. He's so cute
The "evil queen" of snow white
The "king elf" of "the hobbit

6. The Crow, Eric, with the Iplehouse Victor sculpt, I think. :aheartbea

7. I have to admit, I am not really a fan of any particular actor to want to make them into a BJD, so embarrassingly enough I'll be listing off characters from animated films >.>' I really want a doll of Midori from Shoujo Tsubaki, Nausicaa from Nausicaa: Valley of the Wind and San from Princess Mononoke.

8. All of my dolls are designed to represent the leads from all the film scripts I've either worked on or plan to get around to some day, so... I guess the protagonists from my own works that will hopefully one day be on celluloid? :sweat

9. One Direction's "This Is Us" counts as a movie, right? It was in theaters! I would love to have all 5 1D boys, though if I only get one pick, it's Niall.

But if I have to actually pick a CHARACTER from a fictional movie......I'm torn between Sam (Hayden Christensen) from Life as a House or Courtney Shayne (Rose McGowan) from Jawbreaker.

10. I was thinking of a Ron Weasley doll... :sweat

11. Working on one right now. I sent my Soul Doll Fafner to an amazing faceup artist Sour_Dotz to create the look I wanted. She did a fabulous job. I wanted a doll that resembles Stahma Tarr, an alien woman on the ScyFy channel's "Defiance". So now I have an amazing head, a body I blushed myself, and just last week received the gorgeous cloak and dress I commissioned from Mariska of Beyond Wonderland. She too did an amazing job of recreating the clothing from tv stills. I want to post the photos hopefully this weekend.

In addition, I would love to have a Seven of Nine doll, the Borg Human cyborg from Star Trek Voyager. I would like her as a Borg but perhaps with interchangeable parts so I could make her as a human also.

12. It'd be most likely Loki from the various Marvel movies for me, but not a Tom Hiddleston Loki, more of a Loki of my own kind of design. Like with a different kind of face and a slightly different kind of personality, I think. c: A Loki doll would be a big guilty pleasure purchase for me, since I'd rather spend money on buying dolls that have characters I've come up with than getting a doll based on a movie character.

13. I'd love to have a Thorin and a Bilbo, no doubt about it!

14. Hmm for movies I would like to have a When Harry MetSally couple or some of the characters from office space!

15. Human version of Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon.
Or maybe just a BJD version of Toothless, dragon and all. :aheartbea

16. Hmm, well I already have a few movie characters that I have made or am in the process of making into dolls, including my Eric Draven from The Crow doll and my Cato and Clove from The Hunger Games dolls.

As far as movie characters I'd like to make into dolls though, Glimmer and Marvel from The Hunger Games (I already have the sculpts picked out,) Rose Hathaway and Dimitri Belikov from Vampire Academy (though technically my dolls will be based on the book versions, but there is a movie so um yeah.) Louis, Lestat and Claudia from Interview With The Vampire.

And even though they are from an anime, rather than a movie I'd love to create dolls based on InuYasha and Sesshoumaru from the anime InuYasha. Pretty sure there were a few more, but well I uh can't remember right now. XD

17. ArcaneDesires Eee! Do let me know how things go with the Interview With The Vampire characters! I haven't seen any dolls of them yet, and I'm currently reading the books! ;w;

18. It will likely be a while before I get them, but if/when I finally do I will totally let you know. XD It's my partners fav film of all time and he adores all three of them, as do I, so it was a no brainer that we wanted to create dolls of them some day. I have just the other day seen a simply awesome Lestat and Louis. From a while ago, but thought it was worth noting for you. XD Please excuse the quote, I have no idea how to do that mention thing you did. *blinks in curiousity* But yeah I absolutely love them, so I really hope to have dolls of them some day. I'll have to go on a doll search now. Hmmm... :XD:

19. Saoirse Ronan as Hanna. In the late Roger Ebert's words: "Of course the movie reminded me of "Kick-Ass" (2010), the action fantasy about a deadly young girl. I like “Hanna” a good deal more, because in its quirky way, it has something to say, a certain wit and a command of the visual poetry of action. There is nevertheless something disturbing about the conversion of little girls into ruthlessly efficient fighters..."

I have zero interest in owning female dolls thus my Hanna will be just a head or more likely, despite identifying herself as female, will be on an obviously male body, wide shoulders, vein-scrawled arms and all.

20. I would absolutely love to have Jack and Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas. Absolutely one of my favorite movies.
