Movie Character you would like to have as a bjd?

Mia in Lalaland! I love her styles It will be beautiful. A doll modeled after her mood would be lovely.

 

I may or may not have in the cards a Jonathan Crane (from the Nolanverse ofc) and a Henry Creel doll (Heydoll Hadi for Jonathan and iplehouse Oscar for Henry) because I think it would be fun :3

What sculpt are you thinking of using? I'm thinking Heydoll Hadi might be my choice since he looks equal parts young enough and sad enough. I haven't really decided yet. I'm thinking to have one doll for both Jonathan and Scarecrow and the Scarecrow part will be based on the Batman: Arkham Asylum game. So I need a Jonathan that works with that.

I think that sculpt could look really good!

 

Hmm I see, if you ever want a second opinion or any suggestions I'd be totally down to help out I know I am having trouble finding the right wig for him in my planning, more than I thought I would...

 

Thank you, that's very kind. It might be a little difficult though because I'm basing a lot of how Jonathan looks on my imagination. Some from the movie of course, but not all.

I actually ordered a wig for him based on the movie character but then realized I didn't remember how his hair looked...

I think it'll work anyway, but it might be too different for your version.

I specifically was in love with how his hair looked in the third movie as opposed to the first one, and I think that wig if I maybe mussed it up a little bit, could look really spot on. I should take another stab at looking again tbh.

 

I prefer tv shows over movies, so probably a kdrama character. I think i would want a character from my top 10 kdrama lists or a favorite kdrama character in a show I didn't actually enjoy.

For a movie, i suppose Harry Potter. Volks has the Harry Potter bjds, but I sadly couldn't get any. I'm really sad about it. Things kept happening in between the first release and second release, so I couldn't buy it on time. I wish I knew if they would re-release the dolls. I don't know much about Volks, so I can't guess if they might re-release the Harry Potter dolls. when I contacted them they told me to ask Mahou instead because it's sold by that site. I'm waiting on the response, but I think last time they didn't answer any emails.

I know the author is problematic, but I can't help liking and being attached to Harry Potter still. That series helped me get through tough times.

If not Harry Potter then perhaps...I just realized i haven't seen a movie in a long time with a favorite character in it. I suppose Gong Yoo's character in Train to Busan or Ma Dong seok's character. I don't have a favorite movie character that I would really want in bjd form besides Harry Potter. I have like over five characters from kdramas I would really like in bjd form.

 

I really love Peter Weir's movie 'Picnic at Hanging rock'. In one of my girls, I combined the features of Miranda and Sarah. In different circumstances I see her as one or the other girl. My older sister died, which is probably why this story is so close to me, Marion disappears, and Sarah remains to suffer... The doll reminds me that love is eternal!

 

Dongfang Qingcang from the Chinese drama Love between a Fairy and Devil. One with Dylan Wang's eyebrows.

Some fabulous outfit possibilities. I think Loong Soul could do a good version. Actually might have a look at who in their ranks might make a good Devil.

 

If I were to specifically have a movie character as a bjd, I'd probably want either The Lady Amalthea (The Last Unicorn), The Childlike Empress (The Never-ending Story), or Buttercup and Westley (The Princess Bride). Though come to think of it all those movies were books first so I can't say for sure if they count or not.

 

Alex from Clockwork Orange would be perfect!

 

Many, many movies are based off of books, so I think those choices very well count. I especially agree with Lady Amalthea from the Last Unicorn. I'd be elated if a bjd of either her human or unicorn form were created The Last Unicorn was a big thing for me during my childhood, so it means a lot to me.

To add a bit of my own answer to this post—I'd also love one of Prince Lir from the same movie.

 

I want a Wednesday doll, I could make one but it would so cool to see BJD companies making one

 

I think I saw dollmore have something similar before the new Wednesday movie or show came out. I think I saw a similar doll a few years ago on dollmore that had a similar vibe.

I would love Lir but only if I had Amalthea to go with him.
I would also love Jareth from Labyrinth but with how intricate his outfits are I'd almost be afraid to handle him.

 

I think Iplehouse's Audrey would be a really good choice for that imo.
