Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     1. I’ve seen plenty of fans with the same aspirations in this thread - pretty much anything Jim Henson, especially from my favorite movie, Labyrinth! Henson is possibly my biggest storytelling inspiration and I love the whimsy he added to his work.

    3. Just posted a separate thread looking for ideas for doing a custom of Rocket Raccoon. Also on the Marvel side of things, maybe eventually considering a Loki-type. I was eyeballing the Hot Toys version, but pleather is so fragile.

    4. OK so TV show rather than movie, but, I would love to create modern-day interpretations of some of the Avatar the Last Airbender gang (Katara & Zuko specifically). And then from a book series- would love to make the Vega twins, Darius and Orion from Zodiac Academy one day.

    5. Making fan characters is definitely not my specific interest, but I have considered it with Howl multiple times. However I think I ultimately prefer to make my own characters just reference ideas or preexisting characters like this but remain unique.
      Still... I do love Howl :XD:
      Ginko (mushi shi) was also considered at one point. From an anime, not movie. And in the anime vein I have thought vaguely about Nana (both of them) as well. But yeah, I prefer only to borrow I think.

    6. Okay pulling out an oldie but a favorite of mine. I want D from Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. I have a sculpt in mind that could work for him and it would take so much sewing… and sculpting a new hand to be Hand for the doll. I always loved D. And that movie is stunning. I always wanted a D but now as a BJD collector this might be feasible.

    8. I actually did Jonathan! I think he looks pretty close to what I had in mind. In the meantime, my list of characters got bigger... An Iplehouse Dean as Henry Creel because I must suffer, Supia doll Zion as Luke Skywalker, and an Impldoll Paddy for a Tom Holland Peter Parker.     9. I would love to see dolls modded and customized as characters, like the pro heroes, villains, and students from My Hero Academia.
      The level of creativity that's in the hobby today of modifying dolls is so versatile.

      But to be specific, a Hawks bjd with those WINGS would be gorgeous.

    10. Oh, love your Jonathan Crane! He definitely has that Nolanverse vibe.
      (and I do think Iplehouse Dean is a fantastic sculpt, been eyeing him... if you go with him for Henry I'd be thrilled to see him. Honestly, Henry Creel and Jonathan Crane feel like two guys who would have a FASCINATING conversation once you put them in the same room)

    12. Oh gosh there’s so many to choose from but I dunno, in reality I’d also feel rather uncomfortable having a doll that resembled someone too closely…..I’d rather have one influenced by.

      Anyway, there’s Angel/Angelus and Willow from Buffy, Irissa from the TV show Defiance, Elijah from The Originals, Oona and Lily from Legend, Rachel from Bladerunner, Ultraviolet from the movie of the same name, River Tam from Firefly/Serenity to name but a few!
      Actually I did have a Summer Glau ( River Tam ) minimee head as I was part of the group order for it many years ago but stupidly sold it as at the time I didn’t think I’d get a suitable body for it. Wish I had kept it :/

    13. Truly they are a match made... somewhere. Just a couple guys with big eyes and killer cheekbones and strong feelings about causing fear.

      (I need to do a Steve Harrington, for that matter, but I don't have a sculpt picked out... really hoping when I go to the doll con I'll just see something that works)

    18. And also - Maleficent. Maleficent? Maleficent! Angelina Jolie? Cartoon version? I'd take either. Ursula. Cruella de Vil. Gimme the baddies!

      Only one girl can be the pretty, pretty princess in a Disney movie, but this ugly old crone can be a villain - just add spite. It's democracy, baby! (I figured this out when I was, like, 6.)
