With the new release in cocoa colored resin, I'll be joining the ranks of Brownie owners soonly! I've been looking for owner photos of Vivi / "bibi," but I haven't found a single photo in any language! Is this a new sculpt? Am I not looking in the right place? I really hope they'll release the option hands in cocoa too.. I've wanted a doll in this size since discovering BJDs, and I think Vivi's head shape is the one... The blurry photo makes me wonder if it might need sanding (the eyes appear uneven?) but with tanned resin maybe that would be problematic.. Has anyone had contact with Doll's #? I can't find contact info to inquire about these things..
Dolls# emailed me from the address listed on their site, [email protected] so that's probably the best way to contact. I actually ordered my tan Yoyo a 3 weeks ago and at the time the tan hands were in the shop. But a little while later they emailed me to say there would not be any tan hands. So I asked for normal skin hands and I'll attempt to colour match. Somehow. Bibi aka Vivi is so hard to find photos of it's not a new sculpt but I think unpopular. I'm hoping for a face that's a bit smiley (or at least has potential to be painted smiley!) and not very babyfaced. I like the non-chubby cheeks on Vivi.. but that ultra tiny nose.. hm~ we'll see! It's too bad about the hands! I thought about ordering a set in white and trying for a color-match too, but I've never dyed resin and am afraid.. at worst I'll chicken out and it'll look like she has gloves on... r-right?! I really hope your attempt goes well for you! If one of the two of us gets it right, we can exchange Brownie-Cocoa-match dye recipes.
Until she arrives I'm not sure which route I'll go for colour match. Dye, vinyl spray paint, airbrush, pastel.. I guess airbrush would be easiest to get exact.
