MYou 40cm Big Baby Discussion

My Matcha arrived this week but she's still in the box ><. I'm opening her this afternoon when I get home from work
I've got some dresses & socks & undies for her from Etsy sellers, but I haven't picked out a wig for her yet. I'm so excited to finally see my precious girl! Late last month I received a Volks Dear SD and I LOVE the 'big baby' size. It's so perfect for cuddles. I'm planning on doing a box opening video or at least take a lot of pictures since the Pear body is still so new. Everyone's little ones are so, so cute! I'm really impressed with MYou dolls' sculpts. They have a very classic doll aesthetic that I love. Eek I can't wait to get home & open my girl...

 

She's so pretty! I definitely like the softer face better. That's more like the original photos show her. I've ordered Doudou and Dongdong through Alice's Collections. I'm hoping the Doudou, especially, will have the softer face like in the photos. Dongdong probably will because he's supposed to be a boy, although I ordered him on a girl body. It looks like you got the full set. Her dress and hat are so pretty.

I don't think I would have even known yours was the same doll as mine. It's amazing how different a doll can look with the face-up a little different.

@Silvertabby when I ordered Sally from Alice's Collection, they honored my request for different lips and made her with an auburn cast. Just email them and tell them you want a soft look for your upcoming dolls and I'm sure they will try to honor it. I believe, but I'm not 100% positive, that they do their face-ups in house. Also, remember to ask for no glitter if you want the more natural look. I love @CornflowerBlue's DongDong as a girl on page 5 & DouDou is so sweet! I ordered Matcha on the original BB body (but mistakenly received the pear body, so I'm exchanging it) and the dress, but skipped the shoes and wig since I have a few now. I love that MYou allows us to customize exactly what features we want!

 

I received my doll today. Sadly I don't know what doll she is. (None of her paper work has a name on it that I can see but I didn't look too hard.) but she's defiantly not on the pear body like I ordered. I sent an email but I'm not sure I want to go through shipping costs and another 5 month wait. But I really like the pear body. :/ this body is nice though.

 

@Kittywolf13 Oh man you ordered straight from MYou by email as well, right? Too bad they can't arrange for us to swap bodies, then all you would have to do is send back the head! I'm sorry you didn't get the Antong you wanted. Its such a dissappointment after waiting so long.

What skintone is she? Pop up pics and we'll see if we can figure out which mold she is.

 

I'm not sure I can load pics from my phone but i can try. I can do that. My girl is ns and if you wanted too we could. Lol

I'll have to look again when I get home but I wrapped her up again. All her cards and stuff were blank. Is it printed somewhere?

 

@Kittywolf13 do you have an iphone? I discovered with iphone you can upload a pic directly to a flickr account if you have the flickr app. In photos, you select the upload icon (a little box with an arrow pointing up), select the pics you want, then choose flickr as the recipient. Its been a timesaver for me! Or, I used to facebook messenger or email the pics to myself, then download them on to my home computer. From there I uploaded to flickr (or whatever pic hosting you use).

 

I do. I was just trying to save myself the data of uploading it to Flickr while on the road.

I don't remember if mine says anything there and naturally the one pic I took has the card covered up. Lol but the pic is of Antong. And I compared the default pic to the pic I took and I'm fairly certain I did get Antong just on the original body.

 

You both should swap bodies! I am glad you did get Antong. Do you like the face?

 

We were going to but they are two different resins.

 

Does anyone here know if Myou BBs, particularly Matcha, can take 16mm eyes? I know Myou recommends 18/20mm ones, but they seem a bit too big to me. I'm considering getting Matcha, so I'm especially interested in what she might look like with smaller eyes.

 

@GammaVector - Yes, I put some 16 mm glastic eyes in my Matcha and I like them better than the 18 mm. Here's a pic of her face with the 16 mm eyes.

@Kittywolf13 , Oh no! How awful I can't believe they sent the wrong doll completely. Hopefully you can get the doll you wanted; they shouldn't make you pay to send the wrong doll back. It was their mistake, so you shouldn't have to pay to fix it.

My Matcha is out of the box (finally!). She is so adorable. No pics yet other than the awful, dark box opening pics- it was raining when I unboxed her & I had to use my tablet to take the pics- so nothing to share yet but I've got my camera charging so hopefully I can take her outside next week. I'm thinking of naming her Odette. She has a sort of French air about her

 

She has such a pretty face!!

 

I still haven't heard back from them but I did receive Antong. Just the wrong body. I think I've pretty much decided that I will ask for the difference in cost between the two bodies and keep her. I really like matcha too. So maybe in the future I will buy her and enjoy having both bodies. I was surprised how much I do like this body after the fact. I'll try and see if I can post pics later on or tomorrow.

 

Matcha arrived. I am impressed with how many clothes and shoes she can share. I thought I was going to sell her but she is very pretty. For now she stays.
