Narae/Narin 43/44cm Mini Discussion Part 7

The 60cm is sized differently. You'd probably have more luck over in the 1/3 thread there, since they're OT in this thread.

I haven't, but I have painted both little naraes and narins, and they'd work fine. Bimong's dolls are all on the androgynous-feminine side of the scales haha. I think there are a couple narin girls floating around insta/flickr too.

 

@coleen - I thought about Oriental instead of Normal, too. But I decided on NS just because resin should yellow over time anyway, and if it is a bit pink it will still end up being more mellow at some point. My first choice was Pinky-White, but it was just too expensive.

Does anyone know how long you can wait to make your payment? I was offered an original MSD size Dandelion head and she is on her way right now. I would love for her to get here before I pay for my order. I ordered the 6.5" Dandelion heads this morning because I was scared to wait, but if I really love the larger one I could cancel the order and reorder with a Narae head instead.

Edited to add: I have definitely seen some Narin girls somewhere on Flickr/instagram/etc. To me the faces seem very interchangeable for girls or boys. I have also seen boy Dandelions, and they look great!

 

Which hands does the Narae body come with by default? I'm debating on whether or not I should order another pair of hands.

 

It says "Normal hands and feet are included." I'm thinking this is the "Normal Hands 1" option. That's what I've seen on all the arrival photos on instagram. I think all the other hands - Normal Hands 2, the fist hands, etc. are extras.

I really wanted the more tightly closed fists, but decided just on Normal Hands 2 because I really like the curled fingers on the right hand.

 

@rianne I am wanting the 1/4 size. I just didn't want anyone to get the impression they could swap if they were planning on the 1/3 body.

@taixonay I had assumed the hands shown on the bodies are the default hands; but I only have the new body to go by. @StellaMarigold I appreciate the clarification!

 

@coleen that's what I thought too! I think I'll ask Bimong just in case.

 

If you can, please let us know what he says! If my assumption is wrong, I would need to correct my order!

Oh no! I don't want that responsibility. XD @coleen Here are a couple of the classic plate as girls.

 

Ended up ordering the type 2 Normal hands and the closed fist hands. Somehow a N416 got into my cart as well just as I pressed the checkout button.

Thankfully I just had a doll sell on the MP so I can treat myself!

 

Just realized I haven't shared September's updated look here. This girl started off my own narae mania. XD

 

I like those faceups very much.

@rianne I like September's new faceup. It still has her same personality but just a fresher look. I like the new blush and brow colors.

 

I might have purchased the new Narae40 body (with two pair of extra hands and both extra feet) for my N402. She's currently on a loongsoul body, but the match is pretty poor (pinky white skin vs loongsoul pink normal skin) so I figured I might as well get her a 100% guaranteed matching body while I still can.

so much for not purchasing more dolls this year. Oh well, THIS is the last one.. for real this time.. absolutely no more.. nope... ORZ

 

Well, I came to my senses and only ordered 1 complete doll. I ordered tan classic with N404 head and extra normal hands 2.

@sanachii I had to laugh at your comment about not purchasing anymore dolls. I said my Narae was the last doll I would be getting. That was 2 Naraes ago!

 

Thank you guys! @coleen Yay! It's always nerve-wracking to redo a doll like this, but I'm super happy with how things worked out. And congratulations on your restraint. XD

I'm all dolled out at the moment + focusing on making my own prototype. Plus there's the whole medical bills thing... but I decided to say thank you to Bimong by nabbing a head. Not too hard on the wallet or storage space that way. ^^;
