Narae/Narin 43/44cm Mini Discussion Part 7

@LuckyXIII that was a good idea about the bust plates. Getting more bang for your buck! And, the Narae and Narin head plates are interchangeable and pretty androgynous so you can have either.

@Kiwiana that is great news about the legs! I bought my new 43cm in September, the Dandelion heads, a classic body in April, and a full doll this time. I still keep wavering. I may cave yet and order another doll. My Dandelion heads are currently with @rianne!

 

I wonder how long the wait will be? I can be patient. I'm waiting for a Dollshe order from last year (about 5 months at this point).

@coleen - if you order another doll, will you choose the new body or the classic body? I was really tempted by the classic body as well (I love the elegant collarbone and shoulder line), but I hope I'll find one on the secondhand market some day since I definitely can't order anything else until much later this year.

 

@StellaMarigold I think we have to be patient in this hobby! I don't mind waiting for a quality product.

If I order another body it will be the classic 40. I only ordered the one new body because I wanted a ballet student. The hips are much wider and there aren't any patterns or clothing being offered in that size. I will have to make my own patterns. I like that the older classic has plenty of options from either Unoa or Narae patterns.

 

@coleen - Oh, absolutely! Patience is very important. That's a good point about the patterns. I haven't really investigated patterns much yet (though I will, since I like sewing clothes).

@marxwyn - I understand how you would like the combination of Classic upper body and new lower body! I thought of that myself. Although the shoulders in the new body are really neat, I love the curve of the shoulders in the classic body. Too bad you can't switch them out. I don't think the parts will fit together, though.

 

It's okay not to be 100%! We make plans, and then the doll arrives and the plans don't fit. We can't control everything (I say this to myself, since I get stressed). The tan is a beautiful color. Congratulations on placing your order!

 

@marxwyn I ordered all NS until this order. I saw one of Bimong's light tan dolls in his Instagram and Flickr and that cinched it for me. I agree that having them all one color you can swap heads. Narae is the first doll I've had multiples of, so I never had to swap heads. I'm not a fan of hybrids for myself; I don't like having to worry about resin matching or modding to fit. So with only heads and parts available in the future I will have body sharing and head swapping.

 

After being tempted by the newer body and cat head a while back I decided to go ahead and take the plunge. Snagged a couple other heads and hands and feet as well. Although I have lots of dolls in fantasy colors I decided to just go with normal for this one. This will be my first order from Bimong.

 

@marxwyn what other heads did you get?
I'm glad you got what you really wanted (tan). It is more $$ but you are already spending a significant amount of $ to get a doll so it is best to get what you really want rather than settling.

 

@scripple congratulations! That is 2 cats that have been posted here. What other heads did you order?

 

I have lots of anthros and cat/fox girls. For the other heads I ordered the N402 and N412. If they offered faceups I'd happily have the 402 painted like the one posted on instagram.

 

I want to order but the order page is not secure. How do you deal with that? Sorry to ask here but I couldn't find a message area on Bimong's page and I'm having trouble with Instagram (what bad timing for that!!)

 

I never paid much attention to Bimong's order site not being secure. Because I use PayPal for payment and that is secure. You aren't sending any financial information over Bimong's site.

 

Few doll sites are, but you pay through paypal which is secure. So use a unique password for the site. Use a unique username if you really are concerned.

If you're worried about your name and address, I don't know what to tell you. Most sites will send you an email with those anyway which isn't secure and of course they're all over all your mail and such too.

 

@marxwyn I have the N410 sleeping head. It is so pretty but the first head I got so I needed to order non-sleeping heads!

@scripple I checked out your anthros in your BJD stories. Very nice!

Thanks for the confidence to order which I did. About how long is the wait for an invoice? (Been about 1/2 hour since order placed). So sorry to need so much hand-holding!

OR.... do I just manually go to Ppal and pay with no invoice?

 

You can wait for an invoice or you can send pmt with PayPal without the invoice. Just be sure to reference your order #.
