Narae/Narin 43/44cm Mini Discussion Part 7

Hi guys! About to place my first order from bimong & I am just so on the fence about heads! Am I understanding correctly that normal skin bimong resin is close to fairyland resin? Theres not a whole lot out there but maybe my google fu is broken :/

Honestly I am just dying over those pointe feet ❤

I still can't believe my partner told me to order her when I read about this being the last chance!

This might seem like a stupid question, but does the Narae 40 classic body limited come with a head? It provides measurements for the head and includes the height with the head, but I see everyone talking about which head they chose.

 

@marxwyn Thank you! It is unfortunate but at least I know, so I don't end up with a random body at home I don't have a head for. I ordered the N416 ver 2 head. Love the rather distanced gaze.

 

My bank solved its issues, so I managed to make the payment today and Bimong confirmed it. \o/ Now I need to start looking for a wig for her.. and some sort of eyes, but since I got the 408 head, I won't be looking for anything amazing (=expensive), they won't show that much. xD

I know the normal skin varies a bit batch by batch but it always has quite a bit of red pigment in it -just in different amounts per batch. I've never been a fan of pink dolls, so I personally prefer the new oriental skin tone. You know, instead of waiting for the reds to fade out, as that sometimes takes years. I just wish there were comparisons of the two around. I'm sure it would match my older D-storic Ivory Narae decently.

As for the N416, I'm of the less popular opinion and prefer the ver.1, because of the lips and the lack of an eyelid crease. My friend has a really gorgeous one:

@Yenna I like the ver 1 as well, but prefer the lips of ver 2. I also thought about the N414, but I feel like the eyelid creases give it more of a half-closed eye look.

 

What size bust did everyone order? I got the normal bust because I figured it's closest to the original. But it's hard to tell based on the angles of the pictures.

 

Small Bust! To me she is a young girl, so small seemed the most appropriate. I ordered the new body. I want to make clothes for her to sell eventually, so I'll probably make her a type of padded bra to make sure tops and dresses can fit other Naraes.

I hope the pinky white skin isn't too pink. However, since my dolls tend to sit around unfinished for a long time, if it is a bit pink by the time she is finished she may have mellowed to a nicer cream

What are the wait times likes? On his website, he says it takes 7-20 days between ordering and shipping. Does this apply to pre-orders? That seems extremely fast.

 

I changed my girls color to oriental (which I actually wanted anyway). Ugh, I really want one of the other heads. I'm poking through funds to see if I can add it to my order. (N401 2/3). These numbers instead of names makes things so confusing, lol.

 

I'm waiting for an invoice from Bimong but I'm not sure if my order went through. I placed the order exactly 24 hours ago on May 15 and got a confirmation number on his web site at the end of the check out process. The web page also said "The order detail information has been sent to your email address," but I never received it.

I emailed Bimong with the order number and asked for an invoice for a first layaway payment, but I never heard back. I did check my spam folder. It looks like other folks here have been invoiced.

Should I just wait? I ordered two new Narae bodies and two Narae heads (N402 and N410).

 

From what I understand, Bimong responds faster to messages sent through instagram.

Did you sign up on his site? Your order should appear on the order status page. Emails from Korea tend to drown in the ocean sometimes!

 

No unfortunately I didn't sign up. I'm a newbie and I made the order in a hurry because I didn't want to miss out on the pre order, so I didn't even notice that I could get an account for the web site.

I just messaged him on Instagram. Since it's late in Korea now I hope I hear from him tomorrow.

 

Actually, even the small bust on the current body is a big larger than the original.
Here are the measurements from 2004:
Chest circumference - 16.8cm (Normal breast)

Current measurements:
Chest circumference - 17cm (small) 18cm (normal) 19cm (large)

I ordered small bust on all my girls because they are students. Also, I wanted to be able to use older Narae patterns that are out there. And, after big busted SD dolls it is a refreshing change!

That wait time isn't for pre-orders. I would count on at least 2 months. Bimong did limit the number of orders, partly to keep the value and also to prevent him from being overwhelmed with orders. My new classic body I ordered in Sept 2017 didn't arrive until Feb 2018 but he was re-designing the SD bodies and other head molds. I only waited 1 month on my Dandelion heads. I am awaiting the classic body and N404 head I ordered in April.

 

I ordered small and medium bust parts with the plate system.

 

You can also order full bust parts. I got medium and large.
