Narae/Narin 43/44cm Mini Discussion Part 7

I know you've been collecting Narae/Narin a long time. Fess up; how many do you have? I got my SD Narae in 2006 and then didn't begin collecting MSD until last yr. I have 1 new body in house and 2 on order. I can feel it; I am so close to ordering another head/body!

 

Too many! Nancy's Home for Needy Narins has welcomed many Naraes, Narins, Dandelions and others. Now should I count heads or full dolls?

 

You can use whatever method works best for you. But, you could list the body with the heads you use/swap on that body.

Ah, I'm in this exact situation. I was wondering if I should have messaged him on Instagram instead of emailing, but it looks like I'll be doing that later today.

I ordered Narin 401 2/3 head on the classic body. I'd love one of the girls, but unfortunately I'll have to pass.

 

Based on another members suggestion, I didn't wait for an invoice, just used Bimong's Paypal id and sent payment INCLUDING ORDER CONFIRMATION number in the comment section. Hope it worked -- I did get a receipt from Ppal.

 

I messaged him on Instagram a few hours ago and already got a response and an invoice. He is very nice! Instagram is the way to go.

 

I just sent the money from my paypal to the paypal address in the order confirmation after checking out, without waiting for a invoice. A day after the order changed to "payment recieved" so it must have worked :]

 

I just ordered two new bodies and didn't consider this! I might change my order to be classic bodies. I'm not planning to put them into extreme poses like ballerinas, so does it really makes a big difference to get the new body?

 

The new body is all about the posing and is 43cm and noticeably taller than the classic.

@D795 rather than change both to the 40cm classic, maybe try one of each. I do think the engineering of the new body is nice. And, as people start getting the new bodies you will see some patterns. It was my intent to start up an Etsy shop to sell since I am semi-retired but I got side-tracked on learning free-form crochet! I've got 3 sweaters and 2 jumpers knitted but not blocked and a short cardigan still on the needles. LOL!

@Kiwiana I caved. I ordered another 40cm classic body with a normal bust rather than small. And N416 v2 head; both in Oriental. I put that doll on layaway and sent my 1st payment w/o waiting for an invoice from Bimong. He has already sent me a thank you!

Thanks @Kiwiana. Sorry you have to work today. I used to travel extensively and after my back surgery last August I don't have the stamina. And I was tired of living in a hotel and only being home 1 day a week. So, I went to data entry only and work from home. But so far this year I have had very little work. Next month it is supposed to heat up.

 

Is the new body 43 cm with the head or without? The page doesn't specify. Either way I'll stick with the new as the hopeful good posing is what got my attention. I'm sure some skirts and stretch pants will fit from my other slim minis even though the hips are 1.5 cm larger in diameter.

Thanks @coleen. Seems the hips are the only major size difference from say my Souldoll NL girl spider.

 

That's good! With some stretch you shouldn't have problems clothing your doll with what you already have.

 

Yeah I think that will be the case. Which is good as sewing and I just don't get along. It's not like the spider with it's 6 arms doesn't cause it's own clothing issues anyway.

All the talk about N416 has me wondering. I was considering one of those but went with 412 as I was drawn to the kind of hint of a half smirk on her.

 

@coleen, good luck if you do decide to start an Etsy shop! I love Etsy - I've kept up a shop there for five years.

I hope to make clothes for my girl, so I will try to share any patterns I come up with for skirts and pants. I've heard that regular mini tops work well.

This is slightly off-topic, but the 7.5" Dandelion head I bought secondhand came in today. She is so beautiful! Serene, mysterious, and suited to so many different characters. I'm so glad I ordered the small Dandelion heads as well. My choice of pinky white has also been confirmed, since the normal skin is a lovely color, but I wouldn't mind something lighter. I'm so relieved!

I shouldn't buy anything else, but just out of curiosity, if one wanted to add something (a head or maybe a body) to an order, what would be the best way to do this? Message Bimong? I don't want to pay for shipping twice.

 

I would place the order and put a comment that you would like this order combined with order nnnnn. Then ask him to send an invoice. There may be a slight change in the shipping.
