Narae/Narin 43/44cm Mini Discussion Part 7

I really do feel like I need a Narae as well, but I at least have one of Bimong's dolls in my collection now.

 

NOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I messaged Bimong about it and he said it was the same size as the original body.

Although, I looked at the Iplehouse JID bust measurements and the Narae normal bust is still smaller than IH's large bust (which isn't that big). I think I'll stick with it. I don't really feel like going back and changing my order.

But maybe I should get the small bust because I really like the original Narae bust size?

 

@taixonay only you can decide if you think .2cm is a big difference. It is pretty negligible.

 

Measurements can vary between dolls based on the resin, age of the master, who did the measuring or the casting.

 

Yeah, I know measurements (especially company measurements) can be off by quite a bit. I'm just being melodramatic. I most likely will stick with the normal bust though.

 

How dark is the light tan that he is using now? Does anyone have a Narae in that color they could spam?

How does N40 classic body fit general msd clothing? This will be my first doll taller than 30cm, so I'll need to buy some clothes for her. What should I look out for when buying stuff?

 

General MSD clothing will be too big. You want to look for "slim mini". You want to look for Unoa or Narae clothing. Also, clothing for Minifee (not Moe line) or Kaye Wiggs msd.

 

There are several Kaye Wiggs bodies. The original MSD body is quite a bit larger, so be careful with things made for Kaye Wiggs.

 

For those of us who are buying extra heads and might want to hybrid so we can have characters appear together, does anyone have suggestions for body options for Narae heads?

 

Well, my goal to not buy any more dolls for 3 years has officially been squashed by Bimong. Dangit. lol

We're doing the single income thing for 3 years so I told myself it'd be fine, I would't have to buy anymore dolls for that long, instead I could work on getting face ups on the ones I have and finishing them up.

Then Bimong decides to semi-retire/retire and says he won't make any more Narae. So now I'm creating a cart for a light tan Narae with all the extras.

Trying to decide if I really love light tan this much, or if I should get a normal or oriental skin doll with all the extras and maybe a extra head...

 

I have a Narae on order with the 404 head, and I want to have some eyes waiting for her. Which style would work best for her sculpt - round or oval? I've never seen her in person, just fell head over heels in love when someone posted theirs on Facebook. SO grateful I discovered her before the last order opportunity.

Well, the Narae I ordered in September was supposed to be my last doll. Then I ordered the Dandelion heads in March, a classic body for the heads in April, and I ordered a tan Narae & N404 head on Monday, and then put an oriental classic Narae and N416 v2 head on layaway on Wednesday. So; I can't offer you anything to discourage you. But, I will say get the tan and oriental like I did! Seriously, if you love the tan, don't let the extra dollars sway you. Get what you truly want; don't settle.

I always use round eyes. The heads I have have definite round eye wells. I did see on very old posts, back in D-Storic days some people recommended oval eyes but it was related to a specific head sculpt as I recall.

What brand/type of eye do you typically purchase?

 

I’m a little bit late to the party, because my ballerina was mentioned several pages ago. But here she is with the ballet shoes. For anyone looking to find pointes for the ballet feet: they are Sansha keyring pointe shoes. Fit like an absolute glove. They come per shoe, so you have to buy two and they work interchangeably. A whole number of dance stores sells them online now. This is a really old pair, so there’s a bit of discolouration, but normally they’re really nicely made. I ordered a second pair recently and they are perfect (this coming from a person with 50% shoeless dolls, because I’m so picky)!



Rory is a Souldoll Aehael on the first version of the new Narae40 body. Of course, with her having a best friend who is also a ballerina (currently on a Minifee body with Bimong ballet feet), I couldn’t miss getting in on this last preorder. I had to make some sales, but I managed it. So I’m getting a body, some extra hands and of course more ballet feet. I may have a slight obsession :P No heads, though. As cute as I think they are, having tried them in the past I know they aren’t for me. I can just enjoy them with all of you lovely people!

 

Thanks @Wennie. I was afraid to order because I already have 2 pair that are too big. One pair way too big for even SD! They were SoDanca brand so I'll give these a try.
