Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Narae/Narin 43/44cm Mini Discussion Part 7

Apr 9, 2018

    1. That’s good to know! I’m on the lookout for an SD pair (those slipped into my Bimong cart too), but I will give those a wide berth :)

    2. I have some that fit the 60cm feet perfectly! I will check the brand.

These from Grishko also fit the 40cm Narae ballet feet very snugly: And they are $6 a PAIR including worldwide shipping!

      Regalo “Puntas” – 6 cm

You do need the 6cm size for the 40 cm Narae ballet feet. I have ordered some of the 9cm shoes.

    3. Oh, those are lovely @nancy_schroeder_ca - I actually prefer them without the little ribbon tie! If I bought some, I would add thin ribbons on the inside so they could be tied along the leg.

One question: if they fit the 40cm snugly, can they still be worn with stockings?

I wish the store accepted PayPal! I try not to use my card too often unless I know the website well.

    4. I got my doll ordered in tan with all the hands and feets options but only one head. It'll do. :) lol Super excited!

    5. @k-meister & @coleen n404 specifically benefits from oval or silicone eyes. She has a really wide eye shape. The others are all pretty easy with any low dome eyes. Not really the purpose of this post, but I have all my girls side by side on my blog. They're all wearing the same size/brand eyes, so you can see what I mean about the n404.

    6. Those are beautiful eyes, @rianne! I don't know if you mentioned before, but are they Masterpiece silicone eyes? And what size are they?

Even though it is off-topic, I would love to know the same information for the original 7" Dandelion head. I am have 10mm eyes here and they are too small, but I'm not sure whether to go up to 12mm or try another brand.

    7. @StellaMarigold They're 9mm, and yes, masterpiece silicone (I use the same size for my original dandelion btw: you can see her in my profile).

    8. @rianne - Ah, thank you so much!

I love your Dandelion - she is one of the list that inspired me to buy Bimong dolls in the first place (the list includes Greenwolfy's girl, who reminds me of Snow White, and some amazingly realistic girls on Flickr).

I'll go look at the color options for 9mm eyes!

    9. @rianne; I bought 10mm silicone Enchanted Doll eyes. If they don't work, I have a huge bag of Masterpiece and/or Eyeco silicone eyes.

    10. @coleen, sounds like you're all set! n404 is the only narae I ever had fit trouble with, but for reference 12mm makos looked good as well.

@StellaMarigold Aw thanks! I adore greenwolfy's girl too. I used 12mm makos in my dandelion for a while (the silver eyes on the older pics). They look ok, but I like the more realistic look of the 9mm. The silicone fill her eyewells too if that's a concern.

    11. @rianne - Thank you! I am assuming that with the Masterpiece eyes you answer "no" to the "add paperweight" option, right? Paperweight makes the dome higher, I think?

    12. Enchanted Doll eyes are urethane. And if you're giving her a sideglance, they will gap. Looking straight they will juuuust fit but I found it impossible to not make her eyes crooked because the eyes aren't 100% symmetrical.

I wondered why some people were recommending different shape eyes for her but it makes sense if you're specifically trying to give her tiny irises. Since the 404 is made to wear 12mm eyes, smaller eyes gap. For the smaller look you should try makers that make 12mm with smaller irises like doll bakery etc.

Here's my N404 girl with 12mm and 10mm ED eyes:

The other one ended up gapping, but she looks so horrified and blank anyway that I'd never use these on her. Really, with the smaller size she lost all expression from her eyes and it's not just the darker colour. My poor girl looks so shocked to be wearing these :'D

ED irises aren't the general 12/6mm and 10/5mm though. Their 12mm eyes have a 7mm iris (so larger than usual) and the 10mm seems to have a 5,5mm iris (also larger than usual).

    13. So I ordered a new girl yesterday. I've been admiring these beautiful dolls from afar since he showed the first pictures of the new style body and I couldn't resist when he announced the last preorder period (though I did try! Catdude was like "did you order the stretchy doll?" and it took quite a few questions to figure out what he meant, lol. Then I was like noooo... omg the window is still open though....... and he was like "just do it now or you'll regret missing out!")

Anyway. Hi. I got the new style body with the N412 head. I'm a sucker for that sweet smile.

    14. The 412 head is lovely! I'm a sucker for smiles also! She will be happy on the new body!

    15. I hope so! This is the first time I've bought a msd doll without getting the default face up (since there wasn't one, lol.) I'm nervous to commission someone but I definitely don't have the skill to do it myself. The freedom of it is kinda exciting though. I'm still not sure what I want for her.

    16. I fell for the 412 smile, too! I would appreciate advice on eyes for her :)

    17. @StellaMarigold Yep, no paperweight.

@Yenna, thanks! I haven't used EDs in ages so I didn't want to comment, but you've covered the issues beautifully. And you're totally right about the shape/material issue. I favor small/human scale irises, so silicone is a necessity. I did find that Mako 12mm are pretty much perfect for even the n404. They have slightly smaller irises than normal, so no gapping + a solid focused look without making the doll look stare-y and vacant as in your 10mm ED example. I'll try to take pictures as I think I still have a few pair.

    18. Thank you @rianne! (by the way, I like the updated doll line-up in your signature!)

When I was looking for examples of specific Masterpiece colors I ran into some very poor reviews of the company. :( I might try one pair and see how it goes though. Eyeco was suggested as an alternative for silicone eyes, but they don't go as small as 9mm.

    19. @rianne I would love to see pictures of your N404 with Mako eyes if you can take them. Most of my dolls have them and I plan on getting more.

    20. Yay! I can add myself to the most recent Narae orders. I just placed an order for the 40s head with the new msd body in light tan.
I cant wait to get her home.
