Narae/Narin 43/44cm Mini Discussion Part 7

I put together a collage for my incoming girl's faceup and I'm already dying to see her all finished, lol.

I even included a photoshop mockup
I hope that's not too much info, I don't want to be rude to the artist I go to.

 

I find that the more information you can give the artist regarding your preferences the better it will be for both. With specific examples it doesn't leave a feature or request open to interpretation. For example, rosy pink might mean something different to the artist than you, etc. I know one artist I work with likes to have your examples posted to your Pinterest board.

With that being said, understand that no artist will copy another artist's work. They will take that color palette, feature, etc. and present it in their own style.

 

Oh for sure, my collage is all my own slapdash photoshop, pictures of makeup for color, and a few shots of real people wearing the makeup style. I'm so excited I could go on and on, lol, so I'm glad more info is best.

I promise I won't write them a novel though, lol.

Well, I did it! I loved the new Narae body at first sight but didn't have the money at the first order preorder and figured I'd just have to find it secondhand... but the funds and the second preorder came together at the same time and my partner and I decided we could make room! I decided not to get a head, so I'm keeping an eye out for the perfect hybrid.

 

I really like the classic Narae body and for a bout a week or so I’ve been trying to decide if I should order one or not.. I just find the Narae heads too realistic for my collection (I do adore them on their own tho). Does anyone know what companies could work for hybriding the body? Resin match wise (normal or tan)? I did see one thread about hybrids but it wasn’t up to date..

 

I don't mean to overpost, but I wanted to check in one more time before the pre-order window closed.
Does anyone have a doll in the D-Storic "Moka"? Or one of the current Bimong tans? I'm interested in comparing them. Thanks!

 

Just an update, Bimong posted on his instagram that due to the large number of preorders, it will take about 3-6 months to fulfill orders (fingers crossed for 3 ).

 

lol, I had my suspicions when I saw how many people were talking about ordering in here. Oh well, sometimes the wait just makes me more excited.

That is an average wait time, so no worries!

 

Yep, I don't mind the wait! I was expecting something similar, and I really don't want him to rush and maybe have to correct anything later on - or overwork himself!

Now to start planning and saving for eyes, shoes, and wig materials!

I like to have alternate faceplates for all of my Narae & Narin, but I don't have one for my SeChan because of his resin color. I feel like he would look so good with a N401-2/3

 

Yeah I figured the wait would be long too, but that's ok, I won't be able to do anything with it for a while anyway.

 

I had a feeling there would be a LOT of orders! I put in another one this morning. Only a few more hours to resist temptation!

 

@coleen sorry this is late, but yeah my old DS Bernard was wearing oz023. they're fabulous, and Mio here has inherited them.
@Yenna, also late, but it depends on the line. Dandelion is near-dollflower level of light-catching. Oz is really good as well and has the added benefit of looking hand-painted if that's your thing (it's what like about them). The others all have their strengths, but I favor dandelion/oz because they're the best with light. You can request black pupils on any of the eyes without them if that's a necessity.

 

Congrats to everyone who was able to order...again, where applicable! I figured the order would be large since we won't be able to get another doll once this order closes.

@rianne lucky Mio for inheriting the oz023 eyes! @nancy_schroeder_ca what is your new order?

 

I ordered a second Narin classic body and some parts. Then some masked on another board "What is your favorite body for posing." I went back and played with the new body and I ordered another one! Bad Nancy!
