1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Narae/Narin 43/44cm Mini Discussion Part 7

Apr 9, 2018

    1. LOL! I wondered if you had ordered Narin; but didn't expect both! I love the looks of the new Narin but I'm not buying anymore SD. And I have more girls than guys. The guys are merely a fashion accessory and I don't have an MSD male.

    2. Congratulations on all the orders! :D I look forward to seeing everyone's girls and boys when they arrive. I'm glad that the wait period is about 3-6 months. It'll give me plenty of time to practice wig-making. >.<

    3. @coleen - lol, the guys are a "fashion accessory"! I hear you! I am resolved to make all my male characters as bjds myself (except for the 5th Motif hands, which I love dearly). I just find making things for girls so much more fun.

    4. I ordered the MSD. classic Narin! I'm out of room for larger dolls!

    5. I've got a skin color question I hope someone can help me with. The dolls I have are Mystic Kids normal pink and LoongSoul normal pink. I'd like my Narae to have a noticeably different skin tone - more cream than pink. Will the normal skin work for that, or should I get oriental?

    6. @k-meister you definitely need oriental. The normal skin is very much pink based.

    7. So much discussion. My Narae is from the 'old' days of Dollfair in tan. What color, in today's choices, would be the best match for a head?

    8. @bugs6946 None of them are going to match that old color at all. I have older dolls too, and the only potential match in the mix is d-storic 'normal' colors (and that's inconsistent).

    9. I had to go look at Bimong's site. So sad to see "Sold Out" on everything. Sigh...

    10. So there's a new notice on Bimong's site. I don't understand when he says another company is working on the dolls, etc.'s "aestheics". Anyone?

      Notice:

All Casting in Pre-order in April this week has been completed.
It takes about 2 week to assembling and ship.

The problem of hand condition made it difficult to work for a long time.
So I finally decided to commissioned the casting and aesthetic to a professional company.

I thank all those who have helped me both physically and spiritually.
      Bimong

      PS.Notice will be updated frequently.

    11. Bimong was doing everything on the preparation of his dolls. If you are on Instagram , you can watch his last video where he is glueing magnets in, trimming silicone pads, etc. It just means he is getting help with routine tasks.

    12. I gather he's no longer going to cast and clean up (remove seams etc.) the dolls himself, but is commissioning Angelsdoll to do it for him. Typically I would think "aestheics" would mean faceups but I didn't see them offered so I translated it to the seam removal and similar cleanup type work.

    13. Good insigts on that, thanks y'all :)

    14. I am glad that Bimong is getting help. The huge pre-order would clearly tax his wrist. I wonder if this is successful if maybe he will decide to continue selling his dolls.

    15. I'm glad he is going to have assistance! It won't change the way the dolls look or function at all though, right? I know he is a perfectionist. I'm not familiar with Angelsdoll at all, so don't know their reputation.

    16. I'm sure Bimong will check their work. I'm sure he checked them out before selecting them. I'm also glad he has help and can save his hand for creative endeavors.

    17. My Limited Edition Dandelion, faceup by Kira Singleton of Komorebidolls. She is painted to look like my Narae N410 sleep face Octavia. [IMG]Limited Edition Dandelion by cinti_coleen, on Flickr

    18. My Dandelion head with faceup by @rianne of Komorebidolls. Her name is Bitna (pronounced Beena), which is traditional Korean meaning "to shine." Bitna is a part-time model and fashion design student. Her body is in the April pre-order so she is borrowing Octavia's.

    19. To anyone worrying about quality: I wouldn't. Pretty much anyone can do the things Bimong is outsourcing. It's just time consuming and labor-intensive work, and he'll still check quality control. Nothing to be fussed about. ^^

Nice to see the girls @coleen

I have a terrible picture of Mio in her kimono. ^^; Still figuring her out, but I really like salmon and green colors on her. Also debating going back to silicone eyes already haha.

    20. @rianne I really like the kimono on Mio. My girls don't have much in the way of clothing as I have knitted several items but I hate blocking so haven't completed them. I'm getting a few house projects out of the way before I can make room to sew for the girls.

I know what you mean about eyes. I bought 3 pair of Enchanted Doll Eyes before I found out from you they would be too small. I tried them, and yes they are too small. I have lots of eyes, but only one pair that I could put in Octavia. The rest were all too big. I did manage to cram a pair in Bitna, but they aren't the right color. So, I need to buy more eyes.
