1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Narae/Narin 43/44cm Mini Discussion Part 7

Apr 9, 2018

    1. Congratulations, @Giggy!

I hope you will love both of your girls! Did you choose the new body or the Classic body for your Butterfly (such a pretty name for the sculpt :)

I believe Bimong said on Instagram that the deliveries for customers who ordered a body would take place in October or November. He said all the extra parts were already finished! I ordered parts and a body, but I'm assuming they'll be shipped together.

I know we can't wait to see them!

    2. Yay @Giggy! I'm also getting a Butterfly girl, but in normal skin. I'm really excited to see the new style body in person too, it looks so cool in the photos.

    3. Yeah I also talked briefly with Bimong and he said shipping for all dolls will be in November. Iโ€™m luckily not in a hurry, LDoll prepping keeps me busy. :โ€™D

I chose classic body since Iโ€™ve never been a fan of too many joints on a doll. ^_^; All of my other Naraes are/have been on the single jointed bodies too. I currently have two girls from the D-Storic times, a ns 402 and a grey 416 :D The latter got a faceup recently.. Gotta show pics once I take good ones. XD

    4. November sounds great!

The classic body is beautiful. I had a hard time choosing between classic and new, but I couldn't forgo the amazing posing the new body has.

Please do share pictures of your other girls when you have time!

    5. I will try and take some pics of my French Tan Narae whom I have had for a very long time, she has aged very well since that is what French resin does. My Pinky white urethane Narae has yellowed evenly and I thought about letting her go, but she has a faceup from a artist that no longer does face makeup.

    6. Do you mind if I ask how old your pinky white Narae is, @derilane85? What is the yellowing like? That's the color I ordered for mine, and I'm hoping it is fairly stable.

      Thank you!

    7. My Pinky white Narae is from 2008, her yellowing is even, darn this old camera, now I have to wait until hubby gets home so he can tell me why it won't work. Pictures will hopefully get done tomorrow:vein For now here is a old pic of both my girls from back then.

    8. The resin used in 2008 is probably not the same as the resin used today so we don't know if the future mellowing will be similar.

    9. That's what I was thinking (which is why I was curious about her age) - however, I'm sure she is still beautiful! Thank you for the photo @derilan85. I hope you can get your camera working correctly! I know how frustrating it is when technology fails on us.

    11. They are beautiful! And the t-shirts are very appropriate :)

    12. Thank You, their t-shirts are from Dollfair International when they were a reputable dealer for dolls.

    13. Since I'm going to have two floating heads arriving with my order (and will collect more floating Narae heads as I can over time!), I have been looking at possible bodies for them.

Has anyone tried a Narae head on one of the Dollzone MSD bodies (B45-012 or B45-017)? The bodies both look so graceful and the posing seems really nice.

If anyone has tried it, what do you think? Any suggestions as to which Dollzone resin would best match pinky-white Bimong resin?

Or does anyone have another suggestion?

      Thank you!

    14. I have two heads each for five of my FR Narae and Narin.
In my order will be a second head for my SeChan. I am hoping that olive skin will be close; since it's KR, it should be easier to color match (since there is no beautiful translucency to ruin).

    15. The waiting is killing me, and I cannot find another wig like my FR Tan Narae is wearing, it is the black and white wig that I got from Leekeworld many years ago. Wish they would not discontinue their wigs so often:sigh

    16. I am awful at waiting, too. I am trying to convince myself to get things ready for her, but I'm not really sure what will fit the new body.

    17. Yeah, I'm the same way. I love making stuff, but measurements just aren't enough to go on most of the time. Comparing the new bodies measurements to dolls I already have is.. a bit confusing, lol. Everything is mostly smaller, except the bust is a lot bigger, and the waist is a little bigger. It will be interesting to see them side by side, at any rate.

    18. I ordered the Classic body so hoping all my girl clothing that I have now will fit her, if not there is always Etsy where I do most of my shopping now.

    19. I haven't purchased anything for her other than shoes!

I bought her some Mori-style brown boots, some black flats, floral ankle-boots, and some ballet slippers from Grishko. And I researched like crazy to make sure the shoes would fit her and would look decently proportioned. All of them had good measurements, and I found photograph references for most of them on A-Line MNF feet (apparently their feet are the same size), so I'm pretty confident they will fit. For clothing, I have been collecting thrift store fabrics, light knit sweaters, etc. in soft Mori-style colors and whites/creams. I can't wait to make clothes for her.

I'm curious to know what the new body's actual height is going to be. I know someone measured the first version of the new body at about 44-45cm, but the latest version (the one I ordered) doesn't have the extra joints at the ankles and wrists, so she might be shorter.

    20. I think the height measurements are still on Bimong's website, I keep looking at my order status there to see any updates on this last order.
