1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Narae/Narin 43/44cm Mini Discussion Part 7

Apr 9, 2018

    1. Yea I did cry when I read that message, and I have the funds for next month, I get why he is doing it, but now I am just sad. It's like all the resin companies are suddenly disappearing like a alien mother ship is sucking them up and you won't see them no more.

    2. I will have to find the funds now and get in on the last order. I feel very sad too. Narae is such a special doll.

    3. She's my one and only MSD. Fell in love with her so many years ago when I first started out.

    4. I just found out today that he will do one last order for the Narae40...in May?

Does anyone know if it will be for all the optional parts like the various chest sizes & pointe feet as well?

    5. I think it is after May is when you might have to look at second hand market.

    6. I was so sad to see this. But I definitely understand if Bimong is having issues with his wrist. I've had 2 carpal tunnel surgeries and I don't do fine work, but constant typing on the computer, knitting or crocheting, etc. make my hand & arms ache. I don't have as many as I would like; I have my original french resin 60cm Narae, my 40cm new body, and the restored Classic on order. I don't know if I will be able to pick another doll in May or not. Maybe I will just get some additional heads. But, I don't really like that I can't have them all on display.

    7. I hear ya coleen, I told my hubby last night that I was going to order my last Narae, he asked why what was wrong with her sculptor and I let him read the email. He said yea I understand where he is coming from, it sucks the older our bodies age, the more aches and pain we feel

    8. That is so true. I have always commiserated with your signature "Pain is bad on my old back." I've had back problems for years. 5 years ago I had laser surgery on my lumbar. In August last year I had major back surgery; laminectomy and rods & screws from L2-L5. Getting old ain't for sissys!

    9. I hear you coleen. You are so right, aging ain't for sissy's.

Great...fantastic...awesome news.... I got my shipping notice!!! YAY!!!

    10. Wonderful!

    11. I have had 1 back surgery in 2014 and I still have a herniated disc, no way am I being cut on my back again, it would definitely make me permanently disabled if I go under the knife again.

    12. I ended up having to cancel my order due to medical expenses (fun timing). Now I'm really hoping I'll be able to swing one of the big heads at least during the final order. Regardless, I'm excited to see whatever Bimong does next, and I think he's made a generally wise decision here. That said, this makes me even more grateful to have my 4 little rescue naraes. <3

    13. @Kiwiana - congrats on the shipping notice! Do you have a name and character for your doll?

@derilan85 - hopefully your back will not get worse.

@rianne - sorry medical issues took your doll funds! I know the feeling all too well. I hope we can both swing something in May.

Now I understand the limited numbers, the cedar boxes, etc. It helped to lessen his pain from having to produce so many dolls, and will keep the value for collectors. But, still, I can't imagine all the work he did to create those new bodies and to restore the classic molds. I too will be interested in his doll house plans and his new projects. But i feel so sad to see no more Narae/Narin dolls.

    14. on no... one last chance to get a narin/narae :(

I wonder if I should/could get a classic renewed body. I do have one from Dstoric, but the resin is different.
btw, anyone can help point to me the differences between n40s and n416?

    15. I'm so sad. Narae Butterfly has been one of my all-time favourite sculpts. I've always loved Bimong's work and it makes me so sad to see the end of an era.

I often considered buying Maria a friend but other dolls always got in the way. Ah well :( I wish him all the best <3 <3

    16. It's truly a shame about Bimong. I loved watching his streams on Instagram; his work is absolutely stunning. As a student artist, my professors say to us that it's not a matter of preventing wrist problems, just a matter of delaying them as long as possible. Bimong has really held on. I can't imagine how painful it must be, to experience the wrist pain but also the pain of knowing you can't continue the work you love the way you used to. I hope his future endeavours go well.

And since this is the last time, I guess I will be joining the May preorder. I'm not sure if I will get a head or just the body...

    17. coleen No name yet. I have all the extra hands and feet in the order. With the pointe feet I guess she will be a part time ballet dancer at some stage, like yours.

My Narae is in the country, but straight into customs. May take 3-5 days for a letter to arrive to me, so I can clear her.
So she is a lot closer now...Yay!!

    18. Do we know if the Narae 404 head will be available in the May order? That one is my favorite head!

    19. I think everything will be available.

    20. Yay! I'm glad to hear that! I don't know what all the options are, but I would love ballet feet and maybe extra hands. Is there any place to see a comparison of the skin colors usually offered? Thank you!
