1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Narae/Narin 43/44cm Mini Discussion Part 7

Apr 9, 2018

    1. Quick question. My new fusion body apparently had a loose magnet in one of the wrist joints. I found that out when it popped out of the wrist joint and is now inside the hand, pretty securely magnetised to the hand magnet.

Has anyone had this happen to them before and if so, how did you get the extra magnet out of the hand. Because that's proving really difficult.

    2. If you have some larger magnets, they should be able to pull it out.

    3. I have a narae 404 when Bimong was using D Storic for casting, sheโ€™s Korea ivory resin. Iโ€™m wonder if anyone else has one in this color and maybe a newer one to compare the resin colors with? I want to buy a second narae eventually and Iโ€™m just curious as to what theyโ€™ll look like next to eachother XD

    4. This is probably not entirely accurate since I don't have a newest resin from Bimong and D-storic resin seemed to vary a lot -like really from very pink to very yellow until they split the tones into pink and yellow. But I have a D-storic Korea ivory yellow Narae from 2011 and a Bimong oriental skin Narin from 2019. According to him (and his comparison picture) oriental skin is closest to classic normal -which he still offers, but it's probably a bit pinker.

This photo is from 2019 when the Narin arrived:

      oriental -> d-storic yellow ivory

So uhh yeah, depends on what tone your d-storic era Narae is and what you choose for the new skin tone? The new normal is definitely darker cause it's made to match fairyland.

    5. Yeah, I bought a full doll and a few heads from D-storic between 2012 to early 2013, all "Korea Ivory" resin and none of them match each other.

Here's a comparison of them with a head casted by Bimong himself from 2014:

I have a blog entry with more photos here. Unfortunately I don't have any newer dolls to compare to as Bimong has stopped producing the Classic bodies that I liked, so I haven't bought any dolls from him recently. I'd eventually like to get some more hand parts, though, so I'm also wondering which one of his current colours would match my D-storic November 2012 Narae. She was kind of in-between the Yellow and Pink colours that D-storic offered, although naturally she has yellowed over the years. :sweat

    7. @marxwyn Thank you for the picture. I see, it is actually lighter and more yellow than the new skin. I am a bit picky when it comes to skin matches and this one just isn't for me. I'll keep searching for a N402 or N40S in new normal ^^

    8. Hi there

My Bimong Cocoro is on the way.
She is on the 38cm fusion body.
For anyone who has this body - does she fit MSD or YOSD clothing best? Or a mixture of both?

    9. For me I find she fits best in clothes made for smaller MSD like minifee. YoSd you'll struggle with length even if the width isn't bad, while standard MSD is probably going to run a little big. A lot of Minifee or Unoa sized clothes fit well though in my experience.

    10. Hi! I have been trying to find any references but have been coming up short. Does anyone know if the bimong tan matches the FL tan resin at all, or what the comparisons are? :)

    11. @Peachy

I asked almost the exact same question last year! Someone responded to my thread here with some really helpful photo refs. The tldr is that bimong's new tan is for sure a lighter, more yellow colour than the fairyland tan, which is darker and more reddish, but could feasibly be blushed to match.

    12. Hello.
I bought a bimong fushion Narae N404 on a 41cm in new normal. But me and the head doesn't really vibe. Do anyone know what doll head would fit? I can blush to match if the color isn't too off.

    13. I think the neck size is around 7cm--I believe unoa and minifee are both common hybrids with the fusion body, though I think minifee needs a neck connector of some kind to be compatible

    14. Oh, thank you! I have always wanted a decadent Unoa, this might be the perfect opportunity to get one if the second hand market allows...

    15. Hey all! I keep trying to find visual examples of how the 41cm Fusion three part torso does for posing?

Bimong is retiring at the end of November so it's sort of made me actively research to buy a Bimong/Narae body for hybrid! Bonus points if anyone has any recent information on MNF/Fusion Body hybrids :)

    16. Jumping in to say I'd also love some hybrid information for the resin he will be releasing for the retirement sale. Any company, not just FL. I really want an excuse to buy the giant boy body xD

    17. The 41cm 3 part torso body is awesome! I was mainly trying ballet poses. Is there some pose you would like me to try?

    18. Oh wow, if you're doing ballet poses and you think it's awesome I think I'm sold just by that! I was worried because sometimes the three part torsos look posable but in reality aren't (not that I doubt Bimong and his track record of doll poseability, just wanted to be sure!)

I'm mostly interested in more natural poses like knees to the chest, kneeling, etc. But I'm open to any you can provide!

    19. @twylight - I owned one of the 41cm fusion bodies for a while - they are very nice! If I recall correctly, the "knees to the chest" (one of my favorite poses) works beautifully. They can kneel as well, but I don't think the calves can actually touch the backs of the thighs (in other words, they can kneel but can't quite achieve the classic "seiza" pose).

Just wanted to let you know in case that's an important pose for you.

      Edited to add:
I'm so mad at Instagram right now. I used to be able to suggest it for photo-hunting and there were lots of wonderful posing photos of many different dolls! You can still go to Bimong's page and check the "Tagged" button for owner photos, which will include various poses, but it isn't as easy as just being able to search tags by itself (if you try, you'll only get a limited number of images back).

But I would also suggest trying Flickr for Fusion body poses. There might be some good examples there!

    20. @StellaMarigold Thank you so much! :D I don't so much need the poses to be perfect, just that they have some flexibility in those joints to do an approximation, although the knees to chest is so amazing. I don't currently have a doll that can do that and look natural, so I'm using it as my new metric!

Now I just need to find resin comparisons. It's so much harder these days it seems because so few people use flickr anymore and I share your frustration with Instagram, it has changed the tagging algorithm so much it is very hard to find things!:(
