Narae/Narin 43/44cm Mini Discussion Part 7

Finally got my customs bill and now have my Jan order. YAY! The stringing is pretty tight and I am so worried I will break the silicone. I've decided to just keep the 6.5cm Dandelion head and this new body with all the extra's. Being 43cm, she is so noticeably taller than my 2 older Narae's. So she will be able to stand on her own.

Oh dear! I just noticed that choosing "Pinky White" makes each piece cost $10-40 more! I may be forced to choose "Normal" skin.

In one of Bimong's photos, they look pretty much the same shade, the pinky-white is slightly lighter.

Although this picture made me nervous because the pink looks REALLY pink, but I think the picture is just dark and that is throwing the colors off:

EDIT @Lapin beat me to the punch. But I put in an order for a N404 on the upgraded classic body.

I've had a N404 before, but I got her in normal skin instead of tan skin because I wanted to get an N416 head as well and couldn't afford them both if I got tan skin. This was during D-storic's last sale, and my decision bit me in the butt because they decided to switch one N416 faceplate for the other without telling anyone. So this time, to avoid any disappointment, I'm just getting one head and in the skintone I know I'll really like.

 

How do you complete your order? Do you just use their paypal address and send a payment with your order number?

Well, I'm trying to pay by paypal - the link says to use it for credit card payments.

Also, I haven't received an email yet, so I don't know if I am supposed to wait for it. I have checked my spam and trash folders.

 

Got my order placed, but it says payment pending. I chose the Paypal option. Do I have to do anything further or will it bill automatically?

 

@k-meister - I'm pretty sure we have to go to our PayPal accounts and send the total amount to bimong's PayPal address. I'm going to do that later today unless I am told not to!

 

The credit card links takes you to Paypal! You won't get the email until you pay.

 

OMG @Kiwiana you are just now getting your customs bill? It seems like you had to wait a long time. I can't wait to see your doll.

I have my light tan classic body and N404 head in the cart, and I have added a pair of hands in case I ever have a broken hand. I am debating on getting another normal body.

@nancy_schroeder_ca mentioned Bimong was going to have heeled feet for the classic body but I only see for the new 43 body.

 

That is true! Maybe he forgot to add them. Maybe order new feet and put a comment that you want the classic feet. Or would think he would let you add them to the order.

 

The current classic body I am waiting for is for is going to need heeled feet since she will be a part time model and fashion design student. So that is why I am wanting heeled feet. I have a pair, but they are for the new 43cm body. I don't have a classic body here to compare. Maybe I should message Bimong.

All the bodies I have ordered have the small bust. I am debating on ordering the normal bust for the extra normal body. Is the normal bust the original classic body? What bust sizes do others have, or what is your preference?

 

Here is Bimong's response to my question regarding heeled feet for classic: Yes.you can order Narae40 High heeled feet menu . It's same menu for the classic & new body

 

None of the busts are the very original classic bust, as Bimong re-did the shape at one point, but the small bust is the closest to it. The original bust was even smaller than the current small bust, though I'm not 100% sure if he's made it smaller again or not. xD The large bust is the second bust option he made and I find it to be a bit too big for the classic body as it has such narrow hips -they don't look very well balanced. I just ordered a classic body with the normal bust this time as it's the only one I've never had before (it's new) and it should suit the character well. :3

@Yenna thanks for the info. I don't like the large bust either. I think I'll order the normal bust for a change.

Has anyone used a Narin face for their Narae?

Now I'm debating oriental. But if so, should I order a head now so they would be the same batch? I wonder how much variation there would be if I ordered a head later.

 

@coleen: the plates are all interchangeable, so yes you can use a narin on a narae. ^^

To anyone wondering still: the sale is done at the end of the month, but items are also quantity limited. Bimong has been firm on that for a while since he's trying to prevent massive value drop-off for owners.

 

@rianne I know the 40cm are interchangeable, but not the 60cm. Have you painted a Narae faceplate as a girl? And, I smacked some sense into myself and decided on normal instead of oriental.
