1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Need help identifying if I was scammed

May 11, 2016

    1. So I've definitely learned some things from this, and next time I do a trade like this I'll be sure not to let things get to this point. BUT I do have an update.

I went back into my emails to find the tracking number for her package, and it's apparently been updated. I guess the postal system really did mess up, because the package was on its way to me, about an hour's drive away. But what I don't understand is the fact that it suddenly went further away, and then to a completely different state.

    2. So it really was not a scam and it's on its way back to you?! :aeyepop: Well now it's time to hope USPS realizes this current mistake now and change its course again so it can reach you. But now that the package has really surfaced, it shouldn't be a problem to make them bring it back to you even it ends up in the wrong state though. LOL.

I can't help but think many, many things wouldn't end up as problems if some people knew how to communicate more efficiently. She was telling the truth all along, but the way she kept contacting you made us all think here it was 99% scam. This is really tiring.

    3. Trackings are always a bit weird, the tracking of the last doll i bought said it was in Kazakhstan for three days straight even after I received it.

    4. One thing I always do is put my phone number on the tracking information to receive text messages every time the package moves.

Right now I'm waiting for a package from the UK, I have received 2 text messages today letting me know that the package is in NY and that it is going to be delivered tomorrow, however, when I check the tracking number online it says that the package was "processed through facility, United Kingdom".

Good thing it wasn't a scam, OP. :3nodding:

    5. USPS always bounces off items all over the place. It happens all the time I think it's because at times they mistakenly send a package to the wrong courier truck and it ends up on another state. I've had packages go around like that quite often

    6. I'm glad to learn that the package has been tracked down and it can be sent back to the trade partner.

In terms of items updating to say delivered, I had a package coming from Canada which I was keeping a close eye on. As I was working my husband agreed he would make sure he was in to sign for it, however, the tracking updated to delivered and it was in fact not at my home address but at the delivery depot. It can and does happen unfortunately and is more than likely down to human error.

    7. I'm glad it got sorted out!

USPS tracking has been pretty terrible lately. I just received some etsy items from Poland yesterday that I had to sign for but tracking still says it's not even in the system yet! Other things sometimes track every step of the way while still others don't track at all or are behind a few days. It's very frustrating when you need someone home to sign for it.
