New Iplehouse Dolls - SID - Lets Speculate and Chatter

I asked Iple yesterday about a more mature male SID sculpt. In typical Iple fashion that said they'd be releasing SID's continually.

 

Lee!!! EEeeee! He's so fantastic! XD Too bad I just bought a dream boat boy so my wallet's tapped. ;p Isn't that always the way?

I've had two thoughts:
So, I was seeing that the height of the SID Man is similar to the Volks SDGr body. How do you think one of those Volks heads would look on the new SID body? How would Lee's head look on a SDGr body?

Also, do you think that all the SID men will be as flexible as Mr. Acrobat Lee, or is that going to be special for his circus edition only?

 

All though SID looks super great, I hope they don't abandon all of YID!. Anyways, I was wondering of SID in terms of age, would they be considered people in their 20's while YID is in their teens? EID looks as if they're in their 30's...

 

I always thought that JID were early teens, YID late teens to early 20's, SID would be mid to late 20's and maybe EID in the thirties. The introduction of the KID and BID may change all that too.

 

If you look at the Iple Gallery, the Circus profiles state otherwise. JIDs are early teens, SIDs are late teens, EIDs are early-mid 20s.

Personally, I'm in love with the SID bodies. I can't wait to see other female face scuplts. I need one. Not want. Need. No joke. So beautiful. I would totally get the small breasted version though, because while I have a thing about big boobs, the large version makes them look fake, and I don't like that.

 

Ok, so where does that leave the YID then? They have to fit somewhere between the JID and SID.

 

The way I think of it is that JID are about 10-13, YID are around 14-17, SID are from 17-20 and EID are anywhere from 20-30.

 

only if you're going by size alone xD most people have their JIDs aged between 13 and 20...and their bodies are in some ways more mature than the YID with the hips and all

 

Haha yeah in this scenario I am only going by size alone, since most of the dolls could fit any of those age groups with the right customization.

 

Well, seeing as there are no YID Circus members, I doubt it leaves them anywhere. Except I'd probably say mid-teens? Since that only makes sense?

 

The point is actually pretty moot as most doll owners make their dolls whatever age they want them to be.

 

I know that. But I mean, as far as how Iple views their molds and dolls and such. That's what their "aging" pattern seems to be.

 

How I see it:

JID 10-16
YID 17-20
SID 20-27
EID 27-35

 

So I just discovered Lee tonight D: Omg do want. SO MUCH.
I'm hoping I get a lot of money as graduation presents next week oh man. I definitely need to snag him before it's too late, I think he'd make an excellent first doll ;u;

 

I asked Iple awhile ago if they were planning on re-releaseing the RS of the special SID's, and they said it's not a high probability.

 

Awww! Well, hopefully they change their minds at some point down the line. However, I'm sure they will make some equally as beautiful new sculpts for the SID line. Judging from Lee and Cherie, there are going to be a bunch more beautiful sculpts coming our way.

 

I like how you see it. I'm not so sure about the JID, but my YID looks about 18-20 I think, and in my opinion, EID's look perfectly 27 to 35 or so. Very cool. This helps me a lot. I have been wondering the same thing for a while now, and no one would give me a straight answer Thanks !

Meanwhile I keep checking to see when Lee is going to be available in NS, even though I know it won't be anytime soon


I want to get my girl a man. I really wanted an EID Luo, but I think he might be too big for her. The SID sounds more feasible BUT they don't come in "muscular", and I really like that about the EID men. So I'm not sure what to do. If I had my way, I would have dreaming Soori on an SID muscular body if they made one. Either that, or I'm going to have to look at other companies, even though I don't want to

 

Awww! Giodrakes! Perhaps wait it out a little bit and maybe you can see how it goes. I think the EID boys look great with 58cm+ girls, but the height thing really is a personal preference.

 

Thanks for that! It's a start. Out of the pics posted there, I loved the Cocori head on the Spirit doll body, but that would make the girl doll 66cm tall instead of 59.
That means that an EID might not be too big for my girl, but it also means the SID would look way better with her. Grrr. lol
I posted on the link requesting more comparisons, just to make sure. If not, I could get the EID, and if he's too big, I could sell them and then get the SID... But man, all that could take months.

 

I think a lot of people could help you out with photos there. It should help you figure out for sure which size you like best with 58cm girls.
