Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     1. NOOOOOOOOO!!!! Damnit...here I thought I was finished with school heads once I got my B. Oh no! Volks had to release C...and now I'm imagining a C girl. Curses!! Looks like it's time to gear up and watch those prices when they come out.

    3. Actually, they are both pure skin and UV protected. :grin: But only the MSD kits.
      School Head A and C are pure skin, but aren't UV protected.

      But yes, all new heads, dolls, etc both limited or normal, are made with pure skin now. Volks have not used the old resin for a long time and have said they don't intend to. The only reason to use old resin now is for replacing broken parts of older dolls. ^_^

    9. I'm curious to know if the new School Heads will only be able to be bought at this Dolpa. I don't know much about how the makeup classes work. ^^; You could go to a class right now and buy a Sch A or B head if you wanted to, right? So in that sense they aren't limited, just hard to get. But will these only be offered this one time?

      We've put in our request to go to the painting class at Dolpa 14 but since its a lotto I don't know what our chances are like :( *fingers crossed* I'd love to be able to get him!!

    16. Unfortunately, yes. They're going to be extremely hard to get, because they are only available to those who attend the painting class at Dolpa 14 this December. You have to be entered into a lottery just to have a chance to attend the class! I bet the heads will sell for around $800-1,000 on Yahoo Japan for a few months.

      We just have to hope that they will offer them for painting classes in the future, so more will flood the market and the price will go down like it has with the School Head A.

    18. Well you'd have to be able to attend the Dolpa 14 (the big Volks doll convention) in Tokyo December 24, then win the painting class lottery in order to attend the painting class. Basically, the painting class is a class which SD owners can take where they learn face-up painting techniques. It's taught by Volks employees and they are often very popular (hence the need for the lottery). The one being held at Dolpa 14 is very special because they have released these new heads and kits for the class. If someone wins the lottery to take the painting class, they pay money for the head (like the School Head A,B, or C) or they pay for an MSD kit which includes a body (like Shulze, Maria, and Rock) but you have to assemble them. These are the heads they practice on while learning to paint face-ups.

      A lot of times people take the classes JUST to have a chance to get one of the heads. These heads are ONLY available if you take the class or buy them on the second hand market such as Yahoo Japan. That is why you do have a slim chance of getting a Rock kit, but it will probably be very expensive.
