Hmm, every time I log in I try to check my order list and it doesn't show anything as being ordered. I sent them money via Paypal...I think I'll leave a post on the Q&A just to be sure my order went through. Maybe it's because I paid on the weekend and they have to confirm it on a business day?

I've never ordered from them before so I'm kind of antsy!

they are very scintilating but i dont think they will fit into the family :/
anyway, i wonder if anyone has the basic boy version with those cute basic clothes and has tried them on other minis, particularly an sdc? I have a feeling they dont fit bcoz as I was studying the stock pics on lati they legs seem too thin, but i could hope^^

 

No idea yet, but from their measurements... they seem to be quite similar to a normal MSD when it comes to width.

Yikes! I just caved in, an ordered Rucas! XD I'm just wondering though, will he be able to wear MSD shoes? How long are normal MSD feet? Rucas feet are 6 cm long...

Thanks for those links! I was wondering what size the boys' heads were and clothing sizes. I ordered Christopher...can't wait to get him. They both are so handsome it was really hard to make a decision between the two! Latidoll has some of the most gorgeous sculpts I tell you!

i'm so impatient to order my rucas/ryu, but i'm trying to convince myself i have at least an ounce of will power hehehe but now i'm in love with yern too, so she's definitely a solid addition to my wish list n_n;;

 

I was comparing their measurements to a Volks MSD the other day, and their feet are quite a bit bigger-- so I'm actually worried about shoes too. It's hard enough to get Elliott's feet into normal MSD shoes... And after reviewing the measurements, the LatiBlue Boys are bigger by a worryingly large amount. They're mature minis, but not slim mature minis since they're thicker.

This chart that was posted is the same from when they only had LatiBlue Girls, and since not all things are updated yet... welll... I think those are still girl only.

Here are some of the differences and similaries in the measurements, using a normal Volks MSD and LatiBlue B-Type Boy:

Chest (around) ......... 18 cm 19.7 cm

This means that normal MSD stuff will be tight on them, not loose. I'm afraid some shoes might not fit either. Oh, and their rumps are probably not going to slip easily into pants. So... hopefully Lati makes a lot of clothes and shoes for them. From the looks of this, it'll be quite a challenge to get clothes the fit perfect. (It's kind of like Elliott's problem with long-leg, but now worse-- because not only are the legs long, their butts are big!)

So bewaaaaare~

As a note, LatiBlue Girl Cara has a 7-8 inch head, if I remember correctly from when I was wondering why her head looked gigantic compared to the other girls. On the old site, she was labeled to have 7-8 inch.

 

Thanks for pointing that out, chienism-- I was JUST about to write a big long confused post about "how come that chart says 40cm, & MSD-sized, when the Despina-boys' page clearly says 46cm?" I didn't know they'd only ever had girl bodies for Blue Line before.

At 46 cm, these guys are even bigger than SDCutes, which is the most mature & broad-chested mini boy I know right now. It's already a little iffy buying MSD clothes that fit an SDC-- most of them are OK, but pants & sleeves are usually short, and shirts are snug in the chest/shoulders. Therefore, MSD pants are going to be much shorter on these Blue guys!

If you don't mind, I'll steal your chart to make a comparison with the SDC Boy (these are for an Arashi):

And the shoes. Arashi feet are wide but will fit most MSD shoes; but Blue has a full 6cm foot... I can't even guess if he'll fit.

I'm really loving these guys, and want to consider one for a future playmate for Rowan. But I'd like to have lots of clothing options first.

Wow, thanks, swazini-- I didn't realize that Blue was that close to Narin! He's even closer in size to Narin than to SDC.

Yeah, the waist-to-ankle measurement would be outside, from the hips. The inseam is inside the leg, from crotch to ankle. Narins and SDCs have similar legs (kinda lanky), but the SDC is even a little taller & leggier. And Blue is even lankier than THAT, so the longest available MSD pants will be flood-waters on him.

No, wait! Judging from these measurements, Blue won't even get his hips & butt into MSD pants. Or Narin pants. I was about to suggest the newer line of SDC clothing that Volks is putting out lately, because SDC's hips are comparable size-- but the SDC waist is thinner by a whole 2cm. Oh poo!

Right now, I would only buy one of these gorgeous little guys if I felt like having him wear that foofy Lord Fauntleroy default-outfit for the next 6 months. :P Well then, I shall just have to be patient with the Doll Clothing Faeries, and see what the market comes up with.

I'm really considering these guys too (Cara boy sounds like so much delicious to me, but her neck size is 7 cm and thus is 2.5 cm too small-- smells like modding time) so I've been staring at these stats. Unfortunately, I don't have their measurements for sleeves and inseam since I took them from the site. Unfortunately, the site is down for me right now. Darn! But when it's up, I'll copy and paste them into this thread just in case because they have other measurements on there too. Edit again: Here they are! It seems like many are still having problems accessing the LatiDoll site! By the by, since these are directly copied... they sound kind of weird.

If that 0.8 cm difference between Volks MSD and Narin is big enough that they can't wear the same jeans... just imagine what a 2 cm difference would be between the Latis and the "standard" size. Hoooooly moley! D,:

I hope Lati makes lots and lots and lots of clothes-- they did mention that they plan to do so. So far, I've been thinking that if they wear baggy (and extra long) MSD pants... it should technically fit, but be tight around the butt when they sit. Eep! For now, the only shoe they can probably wear are the ones on the site and probably SD10 one. So yeah, hopefully SD10 stuff would work!

(Though, at the same time, I like the fact that they're so big. More solid and huggable for me! But so irritating when it comes to getting stuff.)

Edit: I was thinking that the only pants I can get them into are... fluffy-stretchy-bloomer-type short-shorts. Since you can pull their legs off at the hip joint (they're attached with magnets) so you don't have to worry about their beefy thighs being too big to go through. How sad, though. XD

 

Thanks for the info on the shoes. Hopefully, some of the shoes I have will fit him, otherwise he'll have to walk around barefoot for a while. When it comes to clothes, I will be making them myself, and selling them in my clothing-thread, so you'll have an option there.

 

Aww, but I don't want to dress a little teenaged tough-guy in bloomers and skirts and fuzzy sweatpants!... Baggier-style MSD/SDC clothes would have to do; cargo pants, shorts, etc. And custom things from homegrown tailors on DOA like Shayi, who's all ready to rock! ^^ But I do hope Lati puts out some more rock-star type outfits later, like the Despina outfits. Blue's legs look really skinny, so it's the length I'd mostly worry about.

However, shoes. Argh. Any boy of mine HAS to wear those killer Dollheart boots! So I wonder: How big is 6 cm in the girl-doll shoe world? Is that anywhere near an SD girl's foot? If so, then they could wear all the SD-sized shoes in the world, which'd be great. I have no girls to measure; but Rowan's SD-sized Converses are only a little bit oversized on him, so I'm thinking they might fit Blue.

But-- back up a minute--*yee!* Magnetic thighs? I had been WONDERING what that diagram was trying to tell me. I thought it was just 'regular' thigh rotation (a la the SDC), but you're telling me that the whole leg actually pops OFF? *thinks* Wait, what about the strings, then? I'm trying to figure out what the magnet actually does. I'm pretty sure that they wouldn't replace the entire stringing system with magnets, right? Maybe they're for friction, to hold poses? I must be missing something here. ^^ I usually am.

Am really loving the poses they get him into in those pics, though... between him & Rowan, I could have a gymnastics meet here! And all those little muscles. Wotta dreamboat.

But I'm not supposed to even be CONSIDERING another mini right now, so shut me up. XD

 

I can't wait to get my Ryu! And with the measurements I'm already working on a pattern for leathers for him. Aside from the height, there's not a vast amount of difference from the waist down, aside from leg length, between these boys and MSD or SDC boys, so it shouldn't be too much trouble to make them look good.

And I was thinking, some of the Volks MSD/SDC t-shirts are cut on the roomy side. I imagine they'll fit these guys beautifully!
