Nipples - I'm not a fan

None of my girls have bras. Oddly enough though some of them wear underwear under jeans. The girls I "play" with the most don't really show in their outfits so it's not a big deal. I do remember noticing it one one of my tinies and that bothered me a little.

 

Ive heard of people sanding them down

 

can you put tape on them to smooth out the 'pointy-ness' ? even like the Fixomull stuff for cuts might tame them down.

i dont own a resin doll with nipples, i've never been a fan for the simple fact very rarely do they look realistic, like sometimes the color looks weird in combination with the skin color or they are epically pointy, i know nipples vary from everything to anything in real life but on dolls they sometimes look out of place.

DD nipples are not to bad, i have all bust sizes and none are overly intrusive, the large has visible nipples but unless you had like a tight fitting shirt they wouldn't be noticeable at all

correction: my luts mia does kinda have nipples, not colored but from the side you can see them, they are very subtle, they suit her well actually, not to big...not to small, just right, lol

 

It's funny, I used to HATE nipples on dolls. The more noticeable, the more I hated them and thought I would sand them down, on girls I especially hated it. But since I got my first girl, I've come to realise I don't have a problem with it. At least not on my current girl. I admit they are a little noticeable in most things I've tried on her, but I wouldn't dare want to sand them down. They are wonderfully sculpted (probably sounds weird I know but they are) and the resin on them is bumpy and looks like real human ones. It's pretty impressive, like the lines carved into her lips and I wouldn't want to ruin them, so I'm really not bothered by any nipples anymore.

I just tend to chuck a form fitting bra on her or something if I want her to be less 'perky' looking. XD

 

One of my dolls had really prominent nipples and areoles. I sanded off the nipples and then the areoles a bit (I wasn't keen on having totally Barbie boobs) then body blushed her and painted on areoles and nipples. Because there was still a large mound of the areoles, it looks like she has puffy nipples, which is pretty cute. And her nipples aren't the focus when she's wearing clothing, now!

 

I've actually sanded nipples down for that exact reason, she has a large bust and the nips just poke through her clothing at all times. She seemed cold, it really bothered me. I just took them down a little.

 

If you're worried about sanding, you could try adding with a bit of miliputt or an epoxy instead, though it'd definitely be more difficult.

 

I saw this title and I remember a thread on another site...Someone was showing off doll surfboards they had found but they had this pair of disembodied doll boobs next to the doll in the shot...You can probably guess how a majority of us responded...Just something funny I remembered.

 

hmnn i think nipples are fine though most of my msd girls are the small chest option. their chest are tiny. i dress them in ruffles and fake collars so poky nipples has yet to be a problem for me.

 

Dawn had very big, pointy nipples when I got her. They made me uncomfortable, so I sanded them off. ^^; I don't ever plan on selling or trading her, so it's not really that big of a deal to me. She displays a lot better now.

 

Just cut out circles from padded medical tape and stick them over the nipples. It should smooth things out under clothes.

 

I find nipples are usually way overdone. I understand that it is realistic to have shape there, but nipples aren't supposed to be made of hard resin either, and it doesn't look right when they poke through clothes. No human would have that unless they are really cold

 

I don´t mind the nibbles. They makes dolls realistic. But it is easy for me to say because my dolls nibbles are not very "overdone". So they don´t poke through clothes. If they would be very unrealistic I might sand them a bit or just make bras for her.

 

I've not actually as yet come across a doll with amazingly obvious nipples that stick through clothing, but yeah, I'm not a fan XD It's kind of embarrassing because when I'm blushing a body or doing sanding work on the seams for clients and my dad walks in, all he usually sees is me sweating over a pair of resin boobs XD And then I spend like an hour trying to explain it's not what it looks like, and it is really just crazily hot in my workshop!

I did a forum search and didn't find this topic. I'm in a bit of a bind. My beloved Amiga has a beautiful figure, including perfectly placed nipples. On one hand, I think they make her look a bit more natural and add to her femininity. On the other hand, they stick out in all her clothes. I could have her wearing jackets and vests all the time, but that wouldn't always be as beautiful and elegant as I aspire her wardrobe to be. I'm really at a loss. I want her to thrive in her femininity and be proud of it, but I also don't want her nipples showing in every single thing she wears.

So, to keep the nipples, or not to keep the nipples?

Also, has anyone found an alternative to removing them?

Well, first of all it's possible to sand the nipples down just a tiiiiiny bit, so that they're still there, but they're not prominent enough to stick out through most clothes (some stretchy, thin material notwithstanding).

Second of all, it's possible to put the doll in a bra, just like a real person (I made a bra for one of my girls when I still owned her). I've also heard of people putting electric or masking tape on the nipples - just a little bit to smooth them over under the clothes. It can then be peeled off when it's not needed.

 

As someone that doesn't wear bras regularly (it's near impossible to find 28Ds) I know it's pretty natural for nipples to show a little bit, especially with stretchy or thin material. The same goes for dolls. I figure most everyone has them so it's nothing to be bothered by. Dolls could also wear bras. It would look really realistic, since you can usually see hints of bras on people that wear them too.

 

I usually just sand them down a little bit when that happens, so they're still there but not as prominent.

 

dolly bras! just to cushion the nipples out a bit...or it some times help to have a skin tight suit inside the clothing you wear...like the ones to prevent dd's getting stain on them, they also help smooth out the nipples.
