  2. Dollshe Craft and all dolls created by Dollshe, including any dolls created under his new or future companies, including Club Coco BJD are now banned from Den of Angels. Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. This ban does not apply to other company dolls cast by Dollshe as part of a casting agreement between him and the actual sculpt or company and those dolls may still be discussed on the forum.     1. Sekhmet67, the bottom line is that Hounds in their previous form have been discontinued. It is possible, though not absolutely set in stone yet, that the Hound will reappear when Dollshe opens their new store, but with a different body and a new snap-on face.

      If you still want a Hound you can either hit the marketplace or you can check Luts where I believe they still have Hounds in stock. If you want it from Luts you might have to wait as "in stock" from Luts is turning out to mean "actually it had to be ordered from the way-backed-up Dollshe factory" in some cases.

    2. Thanks - I sort of figured that out after I posted. Jumped the gun a bit I guess.... :doh That'll teach me to be lazy and post BEFORE reading through all the posts in a thread.

      Thanks for the idea on the Luts site....that could be worth trying for even with the wait. Thanks!

    7. Ogh god! Another soul who shares my pain. *huggles* There there. I know what its like. I've wanted a husky for the last 5 months! come to think of it, why am I the one doing the comforting? I should be the one being comforted. *bursts into tears*


      Anyway I also kinda panicked when I heard the news and bought a Bernard on impulse. XD I thought it would be my last chance to get a dollshe boy for good. and even if Dollshe ever came back it could be ages. I really couldnt wait that long.
      Of course I plan to buy another one and also give mr.dollshe a piece of my mind when he does come back...

    10. I'm probably pretty late in the game to be contributing to the thread now, but man, this makes me pretty upset. :sigh
      After totally falling in love with Hound, it seems kinda cruel to find out he's being discontinued. That's going to make it a lot harder for me to get my boy when (or if) I ever get the cash saved up for him. I was quite happy with how Dollshe dolls were, so I'm kinda confused as to why they want to go and make all these drastic changes (faceplates? Eww...). Dollshe dolls were already really popular too and I didn't see that changing anytime soon, so I kind of question their motives with this.

      But maybe I know nothing and I'm just pissed that getting a Hound (or any other Dollshe boy) is going to be even harder than before now. :horror:

    11. Well unless I'm mistaken, Hound will be back. Along with a smilier hound-like boy (Rozen) *swoons* Your wait won't be more than for a couple of months. I'm thinking at the very latest this fall.

      Not much to say about the face plates. All I can speculate is that maybe Mr. Dollshe (forget his name) had an artist moment. Ya know, where your bored or discontent and want to try things from a different angle. I guess we'll find out this summer whether his inspiration will improve an already amazing line of dolls or not.

    12. Most doll creators are artists first and foremost. Many companies have retired old body molds, many have discontinued non-limited head molds. As an artist Mr. Dollshe has decided to go in a different direction. Even though most of his sculpts were never labeled as limited you can't expect an artist to keep churning something out once they feel they are done with it. Van and Husky sold the least well and I can only conclude that most people put off buying them assuming they'd be around forever, which led to them being chosen as the ones to be dropped.

      There are hundreds of Dollshe dolls floating around in the world and if you looking at the Marketplace you see that dolls change owners by the dozens every day. While it might be difficult to find a secondhand Van in the future, old Hounds will still be easy enough to find.

      And as much as I'm seeing people here claiming they really want some of these old versions and discontinued molds, I'm still not seeing more than a couple of WTB threads for them in the MP.

    13. I wonder when the recently ordered dollshe dolls will come home o.o...

      I paid off my boy in March, and Iplehouse told me they had no idea and that it was likely I could be waiting until May. I'm totally fine with how long it will take - as far as I'm concerned, the doll could turn up in December and I'd be happy! I just want to know when it'll be time to be gathering clothes and stuff for him >_o; I have a lot of stuff to pay off already, but I don't like the idea of a nackie doll sat there staring at me angrilly until I can buy him even underwear.

    20. Man I almost had a heart attack when I read the first page of this thread, thinking "WAAAHHHH, no more Bernards?!?!" I've been wanting him for almost...what, 1.5, 2 years now? He's perfect for one of my characters, and it would have been a terrible irony to finally have the money for him and have him be discontinued XD

      But I am glad they'll still have him...and I think the alien face has potential ;)
