No More Dollshe From Iplehouse or Luts?

Awwww after reading this my heart sank! I was so looking forward to another Tan guy!
But being an optimist I can only see good coming out of this! Onwards and upwards I say!......looking forward to all things new!........

So... saw this thread last night and quickly finished doing my taxes... now I just hope I get my refund in time, because I do not want to pick a different doll for my dragon. Would have been nice if we'd gotten a bit more warning for this.

I'm just wondering if my panicked "must buy now" will go the way of my Elfdoll... in that the body hasn't been entirely retired like they had been saying it would. (Not that I regret getting Christopher, but Tanal would have been happier if I'd gotten the Dollshe first.)

 

So... is Dollshe currently using Smooth-on resin, or what?? I can't figure it out. If not, I wonder what the state of their skintones will be? Will dollshe change the colors of the normal skins, white, and tans with the crossover to smooth-on(and the same for Dollstown)?

I'm worried about their tan resin color changing. I really want a tanned Bernard, but I'm worried about if the resin color will change for the worse.

What a shame, I really loved buying from Iplehouse. Quickest shipping ever! But I don't think I can swing another Dollshe by the end of February... darnit :P

This is causing so much grief! If only we'd been given more notice. I was so miserable that I might never get my hands on a Hound, that I went downstairs and made myself two cups of tea (rebellious, I know, lol!) and gulped them both down one after the other, boiling hot. Well, my parents know I'm depressed when I try so hard to cheer myself up with caffeine and I explained why - and they said that they would buy him for me now, so long as I paid them back. I don't even have to pay them back all at once, just in stages until it's all repaid in full.
I love my parents so much!

But I feel so bad for those who thought there was unlimited time for them to get their dream Dollshes too. We really ought to get some sort of petition together, begging them to spare these old favourites of ours!

 

Not knowign what the new Dollshe's will look like, and loving the current ones so much, I just bit the bullet and ordered an SA Husky ( I have wanted one for awhile but didn't feel in any hurry) from Iplehouse.

I hate putting him on my credit card right now, but since none of us knows what's coming, or isn't coming, I knew I'd kick myself if I missed out on this guy permanently.

 

I think am going to order a tan Saint from Iplehouse now as I had planned to do, and then wait to see if Tensiya opens up shop before the end of Feb, as I'd like to get a couple of the dolls as fullsets from them (and I told them that).
If it doesn't look like Tensiya is re-opening timely, I'll probably buy a couple more Dollshe dolls from iple just in case, and if Tensiya offers the same dolls again later I'll put the Iple ones up on the Marketplace.
At least this didn't happen at the same time as Luts discontinuing MNFs or I would have really had a problem.

 

*sigh* It's so hard to know what to do.

I have a Saint in my future doll plans, but am unsure whether to buy him now or try and hold out until we have more information to go on, like, which models are being discontinued, which ones are going to make the cut, is this new body going to be available with older heads, etc., so that we know if we need to panic or not.

I agree, a little more reliable information would be nice so we don't have to make decisions in a vacuum. I have heard from a bunch of sources that the girl dolls will be discontinued, which isn't much of a surprise as the focus has always been on the guys. So I'm figuring the girls will probably be discontinued.

I also heard a couple hints that Saint might be going away, but just hints, nothing I would consider super-reliable. Still, I am getting that tan Saint though it means spending more than I planned, just in case.

Yeah, it's only half-information and rumors that we have to go on now. I'm trying to stay patient and see what happens. But what if I wait too long then miss my chance at a Saint.

I should probably just order him. Better to be safe than sorry. But then again, I'm afraid that I'll buy him and then something will happen that will make me think "darn, I wish I had waited."

I'm just bummed because I can hardly afford the 43cm Narae I wanted, let alone a Dollshe boy in such a short amount of time, I really just don't have that kind of money. I'm crossing my fingers on this one and hopefully everything will be fine.

 

I honestly can't imagine that they would discontinue the Saint sculpt. It is so popular and must be a real money-spinner for them. Unless they have a suicidal business plan...

It would be interesting to do a poll to find out which is the most popular Dollshe sculpt. I would predict Hound followed by Saint, but might be totally wrong. If I could be bothered to find out how to set up a poll, I'd do it myself. Unfortunately I'm feeling lazy as sh*t today. Volunteers?

one thing that I'm worrying about it..is there are something discuss about our shop, after opening a page of Dollshe craft, it seems.

What is strange is that Luts hasn't posted anything like what Iplehouse put up. Will they still be selling them after the end of the month?

I just checked the Luts site, and they responded to your question. They said they will be selling Dollshe boys through the end of the month. So... I used my spendable part of my tax refund and ordered myself a SA Bernard. I didn't want to wait for the Tensiya site, as they seem to be taking forever.

 

Hmm, this really bums me out, seeing I was going to Order my Saint from Iplehouse, but decided I could wait, after Cian. ><
I guess I could buy one second hand in the future, even though it might be massively expensive.
