No More Dollshe From Iplehouse or Luts?

Perhaps Tensiya will sell the dolls for a little longer than Iple or Luts and will pick up for a month now that the Bermannorama is over...crossing my fingers here

 

Good news! -> LAYAWAY PLAN FOR IPLEHOUSE

They just posted a notice, which basically says that half of the payment should be paid in February and the rest in March, but shipment and production will be slow due to the increased orders of Dollshe dolls.

Quoted from their notice board:

"Hi, everyone. ^^

For customers who would like to purchase DollShe doll, we kindly let you have glad news.

There were many customers' requests to want to pay with layaway plan when they purchase DollShe doll.
However, we've refused continuously.

The reason is that we would sell the doll until this month only, and then have to delete all photos for the goods until the end of this month.

So, within this month, we hope all sales & payments would be completed.
However, really there are probably many customers who want to purchase dolls.

So, we decided to accept the layaway for customers only who can make all payments completely, until next month only.

Please kindly understand our decision, and we ask purchasers to keep the promise for sure.
For the purchase method, within three days after you purchase, please remit the half amount of the purchase price, and then for the rest, please make all payments completely within Mar.

(Orders from customers who will not pay within Feb would be cancelled automatically.

Until Feb., only, we can request to DollShe for manufacturing.)

For DollShe doll, right after order & payment are completed, we will start manufacturing.
So, our preparation time for the shipping would be needed much more than before.

To manufacture the goods at this time and then stop selling later, we have to manufacture the order quantity only, and please kindly refer to this.

Also, when the news of the sales stop becomes known, order quantities are increased a lot, and the manufacturing work is much more delayed.

Due to this, shipping would be delayed as well, and please kindly understand this.

If you place an order with no make-up, you can receive the goods, more quickly. ^^

That is good of Iple to let people do a short layaway. I hope they don't get stuck with much if any unclaimed stock. >_<

I'm definitely ordering at least two dolls from them. I might order more than that, but if Tensiya offers the same dolls again with the fullset then I will have to re-home my extras. Hmmm...must think

 

I inquired about buying a Hound from Tensiya on the 1:1 board and here is their answer:

"..thank you so much for your letter..and..I'm very sorry for you that I can not assure for you when we will afford him exactly...
Well..
Mr dollshe will open his own page soon, and you can ask about it in a person.
So sorry for my unenough answer for you.."

It sounds to me like Tensiya isn't going to be selling them anymore but then again, it doesn't seem a certainty.

 

From their previous posts about how Tensiya will continue to support Mr. Dollshe and how Mr. Dollshe will not let us down, my guess is that there's some sort of joint venture in the works and it's going to run off the Dollshe site not the Tensiya site. If I had to guess, that is what I would say.

At the same time, I can't imagine Tensiya would put up "long holiday for ordering" due to holidays and Bermanns going on, and then never stock any of the regular dolls on their site again. They're nice people at Tensiya, they don't pull the rug out from under folks like some other companies do.

Anyway - I'm probably just gonna go ahead and buy what I want only nude and unfaceupped from Iple, then if I can get the same dolls from Tensiya or Dollshe in the clothes and so forth, hopefully the Marketplace will find homes for any duplicates I end up with.

 

I'll be happy to buy duplicates (if they're the ones that I want ) from you if you plan to rehome your boys in the future.

well *scribbles out SA SAINT from her wishlist* jeez thats 3 dolls I've wanted that have been discontinued in the past like... 4 months.... Souldoll Celestyn, Elfdoll Soah and now from the looks of it a dollshe SA Saint.... this sucks....Oh well....

 

That`s just so sad ... I`ve been stressing about this since this thread got started and I still can`t find a way to get the money ... Too bad I can`t just order a head, because nor Luts nor Iplehouse has this option, maybe there`s someone who needs a body and is willing to split?

 

Yeah, I went ahead and bought myself another SA Husky from Iplehouse. I just really have this weird feeling, you know.

I'm not really freaking out, though--I just want an extra head, hands, feet, extra body spare parts in case I break my current SA Husky. So I (calmly) went to Iplehouse and clicked a few buttons and wait for my doll to ship.

Scary news about Mr. Dollshe not having any intention continuing with the current sculpts.

Iplehouse is probably rejoicing that their sales early this year spiked.

 

Oh my god. No. I'm like in shock mode right now. I kept on telling myself "don't worry, Saint and Bernard are unlimited you can buy them whenever" and now...just my luck. I'm hoping Mr. Dollshe will either(should they discontinue all heads) make that new doll damn nice looking. and I mean really REALLY nice. It had better be the best dollshe doll I have ever laid eyes on! OR simply discontinue for the moment while he gets caught up(cause god knows he needs all that stuff on his plate.) then once he gets everything under control start up production of them. This makes me so sad T.T I haven't got the money to emergency buy any of the molds I want.(now i'm gonna go into super money making mode so i can buy my supposedly unlimited DK Hara >.>)

 

I went ahead and put a Saint on layaway. He was going to be my next purchase anyways, but I was hoping to have a little bit more time to scrounge up the money. =/

 

I've been thinking of making both Hound and Bernard a part of my family, but I am so utterly and hopelessly confused right now with all the mix of information I'm hearing. I don't know what to believe. I can't see the Hound mold being discontinued, maybe changed a bit, but its so popular I can't see Hound ever going away. That would be a shock. As for Bernard, not so sure. I might just have to put him on layaway just in case.

 

No need to panic, people! I've got good news. Or my friend, rather. She contacted Tensiya and they confirmed that none of the sculpts are going anywhere However, Dollshe is working on an upgrade for them, and to me it sounds very good. I'll ask her to post the response she got with all the details later. But anyways, it's all good! No need to go into panic buy mode yet

 

Thanks for posting that, Idrisfynn. I too read Houndcalling and have been among the people who have asked at Tensiya. I think at this point we are getting so much conflicting information that everything is up in the air.

I can get the money together and buy dolls right now, although it's a hassle for me and I don't really like being left hanging by a doll artist or doll company in this manner. But as shown by this thread, there are a lot of people who don't have that option and even though some people who say "Noooo! I wanted to buy!" would probably never get that money together, or want something else next week, there are probably an equal number with every intention of buying who were just trying to space it out so they didn't have a fiscal crisis.

To be honest, this sort of information vacuum is one of the reasons I've seriously thought about bailing out of this hobby and/or only dealing with small releases/ self-representing artists, as they seem to be the most communicative and willing to work with customers. I realize that when someone's work becomes mass-popular it is harder to communicate and fulfill people's individual wants, and I don't want to criticize people especially Mr. Dollshe when I don't know what his actual plan is going to be. But being given one month to make a decision about whether/how to expend a large amount of money is not the best way of doing business.

It seems to me like Iplehouse is doing their best to accommodate people so they can buy, and that Tensiya is trying to give information but is hampered by the fact that details of the plan are either not worked out or they don't want to violate any agreements/ make anyone mad or confused by saying too much/ the "wrong" thing.

I hope we get some clear and unambigous answers soon. I also hope that the next time someone decides to radically change their business model, people will get more warning and more certainty of information. (I can dream, can't I.)

Even tho idrisfynn said that it shouldn't be alarming, it is quite alarming.

Can, we as customers, have a voice to say in all this? I just dont like being in the dark, being pulled around in multiple direction...It's quite frustrating. I'm just glad that both Iplehouse and Tensiya have been sympathetic so far, trying to comfort us to the best of their abilities.

Also, I wanted to see this new boy that people are talking about on HC. But since I'm not a member, I have no info concerning it. All I can say in my confused state is that this new doll better be worth all the current Dollshe boys if it warrants them enough to be permanently discontinue. That's only IF Mr. Dollshe discontinues all current headmolds, but from Batpig's post, thankfully that won't happen! I hope that's really the case. *crosses fingers*

I can't help it...but I'm fretting whether I should buy from Iplehouse now or waiting for Tensiya to resume selling Hounds >.<
