No More Dollshe From Iplehouse or Luts?

Yeha! I want to see the new body, too!

I think the faceplate-type revamp for the popular moulds (ie: Hound, Saint, Bernard) is so that they can be used on the new body. Well, that's just my assumption. It is exciting.

As for Husky not getting renewed, Iplehouse answered a customer's question with this:

I'm glad I got SA Husky last year. I went through this long self-debate whether to get an SA Husky over a Dollmore Kyle Reese.

I think I made a good choice. :

 

I wish I could afford two to get Husky as well, he was actually the first Dollshe sculpt I fell in love with. Just, he's too serious for the character I want next, and I'm only willing to jump at dolls if they're high on my wishlist.

 

I have an SA Husky, I wanted a DO in white, so I just went and ordered it from Iple. Along with a bunch of other Dollshe dolls. Iple just made themselves a nice pile of $$, I'd have liked to give some of it to Tensiya, but oh well...

It would be nice if either Tensiya (when it reopens) or Dollshe website continues to stock the clothing at least...

I asked Iplehouse if they will keep the Hound-sized clothing in stock even after stopping selling Dollshe dolls. They said, yes, because they have plans on releasing a 70cm doll of their own. Therefore, will continue selling outfit for 70cm sized doll.

Iplehouse makes some of the best fitting clothing around for Dollshe boys. I am glad to hear they will continue that line.

Congrats bunny, sooo, how many did you get? The nosy want to know, LOL.

 

Gayle, TOO many, lol...it was more than 2 because when you get past 2, Iple's EMS shipping calculator conks out so they had to send me a separate shipping bill.

The big ones I wanted were the DO Husky in white and the Afghan also in white. I was planning to buy them both, dressed, from Tensiya in about two months when Anu re-opened shop. Now that looks like that won't happen, so I had to jump on them now. I also bought extra Vans because I already have a tan one but was waffling about getting another color and didn't want to miss the boat on that.

I do not like bringing home a group of dolls at once when I won't have time for them all, but I didn't feel like I had a choice. I'm also hoping that whatever Mr. Dollshe is doing with this new body, some of my old heads will fit on it because I don't like a bunch of identical bodies. Finally, I'm probably retiring from the whole doll-buying biz to a pretty large degree after this and the Luts thing. I can't handle keeping up with the discontinuations, even though I understand that business is business and there are good reasons for the change-overs and maybe even for doing it so abruptly. It's just too discombobulating for me.

 

AAARRGG! This whole Dollshe thing has me going nuts. After 2 years of planning, this was going to be the year that I could finally start purchasing my Dollshe boys&girls. I was not expecting to have only a few weeks! *sigh* I can only thank Iplehouse for their layaway! If only Dollshe could have given us a bit more notice. All this dolly stress just leaves me feeling frustrated and materialistically shallow.

Bunnydots - Do you have photos of your tan Van? I have been debating over the resin color and I would love to see what he looks like!

 

Maybe I can still hold onto my Bernard dreams, hearing the news that he'll still be around, with a faceplate or otherwise, makes me extremely happy! ^_^

But I do feel sad that so many people won't be able to get their Husky, Van, and Dollshe Girl dolls! >_<

 

I've promised people for months I was going to post pictures of him and never got around to it Sadly I am going to be tied up all weekend so I don't think I'll be able to do it before the Iple order period ends, but I can safely tell you he looks great tan The Dollshe tans lately are fairly dark. Think of a cup of coffee with only a tiny bit of cream and you'll have it.

I came across this one DOA user's photo of Van that made me think Van would be stunningly Amazon-ish in tan. Which is funny 'cause I'm normally not a fan of that look. But what I really want is a tan Afgha. Oh well. Not that I actually have $ for all of these but I can dream, LOL! *bangs head against nearest wall*

 

red rosin: Van was actually one of my first dolls. I just love his face! I got him in NS with the default Iplehouse faceup actually, so if you'd like some images I can certainly provide them. (Of course, I'm not sure if you'd want a factory faceup for him or not, but just in case you're interested. )

Oh, I've been oogling your boy for a long time. *hugs* I had no idea that he had an Iplehouse faceup--so pretty. I'm liking their Dollshe faceups more & more!

 

Awww, thanks! Yeah, the Iplehouse faceup was what made me decide to actually get a Van in the first place! Luts didn't really do him justice in my opinion. Just one word of warning on their eyelashes: Valere's have a tendency to fall off starting at the corner, so I think maybe they use a weaker glue than some other companies. All my other dolls (even my Model Girl who I got at the same time) have maybe had a lash or two get bent, but they haven't started peeling off entirely the way his have. Of course, I did get him over a year ago, so they might have changed their glue since then...

 

I hate to pop in all of a sudden but I hear that iplehouse does a layaway and was wondering if anyone could fill me in on that because hearing about my possibly not being able to get my bernard is stressing me out...

_aki_ - Here is Iplehouse's Dollshe Layaway plan. Basically, you must pay half by Feb. 29, and the rest by the end of March. Otherwise they cancel your order.
