1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Noble Dolls Discussion Part 1

Apr 12, 2012

    1. I believe (and I might be very wrong) but she has to types of elf ears. Only those long ones were limited but you could still get shorter ones like I did :). But yeah you are right she is super busy. I ordered mine last July and now it is on shipping.

    2. Kaede, how did you order? I couldn't tell from Asella's website if she was 'open' for orders, or how to go about doing that!

    3. snowgray I just emailed her! :) Asella is super nice! I even met her in last ldoll. She is so sweet. Her english isn't the best so make sure if you email her to be very clear to avoid misunderstandings. I had no problems but I just thought I should mention it.

    4. :D Thank you!

    5. I've never looked into ordering directly from a sculpture- Is the pricing about the same as it would be from jpop, for future reference?
I had my heart set on a NS Raspberry the moment I laid eyes on her last year, but there was no way for me to raise 600$ before preorder ended. I literally cried. Lol I was hoping I could raise it up for the WS, which is definitely my second favorite, but alas, a 780$ ER visit has once again prevented that. Dx

    6. There are two different types of ears, but I read it was because she had to make a new mold (from Rhubarb having a headback to having a faceplate) ! Which ears are you refering to ? Pointy one closer to the head, or the most recent more "on the side" ?
(I tried to contact her via private message on the french forum Matériel Céleste, but never got an answer since she's so busy !)

Héhé I hope you'll post pics of your nw girl :)

    7. aw dang, going to be a while for Rhubarbe...guess it's for the best - I'm getting married in April so I should probably save my money :P

    8. I don't know for how much these would go on jpop but I paid 400 € (euros) which seemed a pretty good deal to me for custom doll! Oh boo :(. I hope you can get one someday! Asellas dolls are so beautiful!

Hmm I am not sure. You can see my girl here, blue one in left lower corner http://flic.kr/p/da6nWn.

Here is a picture also by Asella that shows her with face-up etc http://flic.kr/p/dRnUDj.

Surely I will post pictures of her! I first contacted her through flickr and never got any answer but when I emailed she answered within a week or so.

Congratulations! That's so soon. It is probably the best you save your money for now. After the wedding you can then spend a lot on dolls again :D.

    9. Thanks so much for letting me know Kaede^!
Its definitely a little reassuring knowing that I can always order directly from her, ha!

    10. I LOVE the Elf Rhubarb's! I have seen a few that Asella has made for people on Flickr and I just drool over them! ^^ I have heard that sometimes the quality is different when it is hand cast so I'd be interested to see the differences between one that is factory made! How awesome would it be if you could just get a Rhubarb from ordering on Jpop?!

    11. Ohmygosh. I am going to have to get Radicelle then from jPop, and also try and get a custom green cutie from Asella herself... something about having one handmade seems really special... I also just ADORE the blue Rhubarbe <3!

    12. Hand made dolls are about $150 to $250 more than on jpop just an FYI.

I have handmade Raspberry, Rhubarbe, and Radicelle, I will take some photos and post.

    13. Asella doesn't do handmade elf rhubarbs anymore :'C

    14. Thanks everybody for your interest for my dolls ^^

As I already explain before, I will don't do handmade raspberry ANYMORE. I don't want, and I can't, cause of very damaged molds.
Elf Rhubarbe was limited, I have accept some order but now, it's finished. The last girls you will can see are orders who wait since a long time. They will NOT be available at Jpopdolls AND by me. Some dolls have special ears, they are custom for don't have very long ears.

For Radicelle, I don't take orders anymore, Only some handmade dolls will be available sometimes on doll festivals and when rhubarbe will be available at Jpopdolls, it will be the same. I hope it will be possible to have them in lot of funny colors, but it depending of you :)

    15. Ah that is too bad Asella, but I totally understand! It takes quite some time to cast dolls and finish them. Sorry, my bad for telling people that they could possibly get some directly from you ^^'.

I will have to turn my eyes into ldoll and other doll conventions then in order to have a chance to get some more of your gorgeous creations! That or if jpopdolls some day gets Radicelle in colors I love with elf ears etc I might consider it. I am just so tired of finnish customs that I like to avoid them when ever I can. Such a hassle every time I order something outside EU.

At least I will have my Rhubarbe. Come on finnish post hurry up! I had such a high hopes of getting her tomorrow but at this rate it won't happen. Maybe wednesday then...

    16. dang! If I understand correctly, that means the Rhubarbe from Jpop won't be an elf? That sucks! *cry* alas, maybe I'll hope for a more natural skin tone then, and send her off to be modified with wee pointy ears >.>

Thanks Kaede for your well wishes!

    17. I know Kaede what You mean, and paying almost 30% extra for a doll+shipping because of the custom/vat fees sucks! Because of that ordering European doll from America is not going to happen for me (yes, I do order lot of dolls from Asia, but because they are asian dolls, it is ok for me ;) ) I am waiting maybe someday there will be some used Raspberry available within Europe ;)

    18. Custom fees are horrible. My raspberry will be around the same price as an artist cast because of it ;A;
I know there is the second hand market but you can't be sure to find the doll you're looking for and at a reasonnable price...

    19. I contacted with Asella on Dec. and she tolds me the only way to get Raspberry is via Jpopdolls. It's a pity because I want her with Glow in the Dark resin and probably won't be able anymore :(

    20. One way I have found to avoid fees or have low fees is not to ask for EMS, instead use USPS priority shipping, which takes 5 days longer, but often is not charged by customs. I sent all of my Jpop things that way to France for Ldoll, and even though the boxes were huge, no fees were charged.
