1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

NOT Waiting for a Doll

Jan 19, 2015

    1. I enjoy both sides. I love the anticipation of a new doll coming in, making plans and getting things together. But I also love the peace when I'm not haunting waiting room threads, watching and waiting to see when my doll will arrive. I don't miss the anxiety that my package will get damaged/misdelivered/stolen/missed/sent back.

    2. I am currently waiting for two dolls. One of Angell-Studio's Phoenix boys, and Dollfie Dream Miku. I am hoping that after I place an order for a third doll soon, there won't be any more dolls I'm interested in for a while.

    3. Oh my gosh, I couldn't have expressed that anxiety better myself. There's hardly ever a time when I'm not nervous about a doll purchase or waiting for a doll (or doll-related item) to arrive. Due to some really, REALLY long wait times on some things, it's been a very long time since I've had the "not waiting" feeling. But I'm so bad at resisting good dolly deals or opportunities to get dream dolls or items, especially lately. I might not have that feeling for a while. But then, there were a few years when I didn't get any new dolls at all, and hardly any doll items from anywhere that required shipping. It was nice to be low-key about the hobby, but I'm much prouder of my collection when I'm working on and shaping it. It's a double-edged sword, for me!

    4. It's not wasting time when you're trying to use it for the dolls you have at home. I'm looking forward to finishing my current layaway so I won't be waiting for anything "big" anymore. It's also somewhat stressful. Recently I was cut off from the internet due to moving, and it was a healthy break from browsing the marketplace. I hope I can continue to resist...
