1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Nympheas Dolls Discussion

Dec 9, 2012

    1. Not yet, that was going to be the next step if this didn't work.

    2. I still haven't played with stacking ear magnets, but I did manage to crochet another dress for my Squirrel. I also made two wigs, both of which came out a hot mess. I need a small iron to make curls--and to straighten out sections that are supposed to lie flat. Unfortunately I can't do anything about my inability to cut bangs in a straight line. Here she is at a meet-up yesterday.

    3. Well I think that's a mighty fine wig! Cute dress too, and the colors really suit her.

I did finally play with magnets, and ended up having to pop a couple on the outside of her head, and then slip the wig over them, now the ears stick pretty well! (and I added a couple more tiny magnets inside her head first - added the ones outside after just the inside additions proved to not be enough.)

I'm liking her posing abilities. Here she is getting sassy one one leg in a little Dear Doll sized piggie outfit from Dollmore.
Her ears have no trouble staying on now!

    4. @aernath - Francine is so adorable! What a cute pose. I never thought of adding magnets to the outside of the head but if it works, go for it. I need to blush Lilou's ears before I can use them, but I'll definitely try that trick.

I'll probably make Lilou another wig. Sooner or later one of them won't look too bad. Thank you for liking this one anyway.:3nodding: I love the colors in it. I also love how this dress came out. The weather is getting cooler so I'll make one out of wool next. She's really fun to dress.

Speaking of fun, I had so much fun with Lilou at last weekend's doll meetup that I pre-ordered Harmony. She's a teeny bit smaller all around but looks taller because she's thin, if that makes sense.

If you're looking for shoes for Francine, I found that shoes for Helen Kish's 12-inch Bethany work. It's the slim Bethany, not the Bitty Bethany who is more of a toddler. The shoes are a tiny bit loose. They fall off even with socks, so I'll need to cut insoles for them, but I like how they look.

    5. Did anyone else order Joy or Harmony? My Harmony is on her way to me at this moment. I'm surprised and delighted because I didn't expect her before February. Now if only the weather would warm up enough for me to paint her. I don't attempt faceups when the temperature is below freezing. I'm afraid the sealant, which I spray outdoors, will freeze upon--or before!--contact.

Now begins the search for wigs, shoes and clothing.

    6. I love your both Squirrel !!! so different style ^^
for infos i find good size of shoes for Squirrel here :

    7. Thank you! I love my Squirrel and can't wait for Harmony to arrive.

I have a pair of Audrey flats from the page you linked. They're narrower than Squirrel's foot but could be stretched to work. I'm afraid to do that because I need them as is for another doll. Will they fit Harmony, do you think? I wonder if a style with a rounder toe might fit Squirrel better?

    8. i'm so happy you love her ^^
hum few pairs seem fit well i will show you which one !
for Harmony it's to big, she had tinier feet than Squirrel :)

    9. I look forward to seeing which style it is.

    10. Little Harmony arrived today. I haven't taken photos yet as she has nothing to wear, although I did find a wig that sort of works. It has too much hair but I have a feeling most wigs will. Maybe I'll make her a wig.

    11. Thanks! I'll buy some of the ballerina flats.
I guess it depends on the individual wig. I have two size 4/5 wigs: one is way too big and the other fits but has too much hair.
Do you have any shoe suggestions for Harmony?

    12. Harmony could wear lati yellow shoes ^^

    13. Thank you!

    14. Still no faceup--it's way too cold for spraying sealant--but Harmony has a dress (crocheted by me) and cute T-strap shoes from Ruby Red Galleria. The shoes are sized for Lati Yellow and PukiFee, although my other PukiFee shoes don't fit her. I'll put in her eyes after I paint her. She came with green eyes--my absolute favorite eye color!

    15. The weather elements aligned over the weekend so Harmony got a faceup. I can't believe how different she looks now that she's painted. Here she is with Squirrel:

Not sure what's going on with my photo. I see it when I choose Edit but it disappears after I hit Save Changes. Ah, wonderful! It's back.

    16. It really brings her to life! Congratulations!

    17. Thanks, @aernath ! My Youpla Juliette claimed the Ruby Red Galleria shoes, so I'm on the hunt for shoes again. I found an inexpensive pair of boots from Monique Trading, but while they fit Harmony's feet they appear to have been made for a doll with very chubby legs. Harmony needs a better wig, too. I'll get her the Tyler ballet flats when I place a wig order from Facets.

    18. @aernath - She does look concerned, but at least she's hugging her stuffie instead of clinging to the rock for dear life. Cute photo!
