1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. Right now I just keep most of my doll money in a Japanese Jasmine tea tin. Once I start working, which will hopefully be soon, I will open up a separate savings account just for dolls. I know I'll need it and won't touch it until I have the amount I want for a specific doll and all the stuff that I want with him or her. If I don't do that or put the money aside some where I know I'll end up spending it.

So yeah...I'm going to. Just seems like a smart idea and it works for me.

    2. I actually started one about nine months ago. It began saving for doll conventions, but it worked so well at keeping my "real" money and "doll" money untangled I stuck with it.

    3. I have my savings account for dollfies~ and it automatically gets a certain amount of money from my checking every month ^-^ which is awesome~

    4. I'm a Yes on that one. It's also hooked up to my Paypal account, so the money gets taken right out from it. :)

    5. I put all my savings into one big account, so that I can get more interest. Plus, I allot from that account a certain amount of money that must always be there. Doll money, spending money, everything else, will come from what's left over that certain allotment.

    6. lol interesting idea.
I basically allow myself what I get through commissions. So far its been okay. A pain when everything limited comes out at once though. DX

    7. I don't see why not, if that's what you're saving for and you want to make sure the money stays untouched a separate savings account (high interest plx ;)) is a grand idea :D

    8. I have two separate savings accounts; one for college/buying my own house, and one for dolls~
Although, I have goals for the first account and if they aren't met I can't put any money into the doll account... I also can't pull from the first account to help the doll account along, and I have to pull from the doll account first in case of emergencies and such...
