1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Optional / Ballet feet

Apr 9, 2022

    1. I have bought two extra pairs of feet for my big girl not so long ago. One of them is ballet feet. However, she has single joint ankles so it’s trickier to change feet than double joint ankles such like it is for Volks. Also, her ankles aren’t made to be flexible, though it’s awesome if I want her to firmly stand straight up.

I wonder how often other people switch feet for posing purpose or fashion purpose. Also Do you put point toe high heel shoes or ballet shoes on ballet feet? Is there any tips to utilise ballet feet and posing tips for dolls with inflexible ankles?

    2. I unfortunately have no advice to give, but I've always wanted ballet feet for larger dolls so I can enjoy over the top heel designs that for the time being, remain locked behind Pasha and similar dolls I have zero interest in. :(

    3. What do the double-jointed ankles look like?

Anyway, I usually only use high heeled feet, and my boy doll has only 2 pairs of shoes (for now) that need flat feet, (other than this he wears heels too) so I only change his feet... rarely, still.

If I had ballet feet, I'd probably have a 'forever' plan to sew a pair of ballet shoes and use them for a session or two, but then I'd probably sooner sell the doll than use the feet (#revolvingdoorownerproblems). Even though my dolls all have high heel and not ballet feet, I still plan to make a pair of ballet shoes... one day :D

    4. Actually, Supia has ballerina feet.

    5. I am ordered a Supia doll who will hsve both heel and ballet feet as options. Still new to restringing and replacing limbs so will rarely change them.

My boy dolls only have flat feet and so far have not contemplated changing them.

    6. They do, but not much has come of it from anyone that makes shoes. :(
