1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Orientdolls choco vampire discussion

Jan 24, 2007

    1. The wings are removeable, that much I know the prototypes were shown in Haute dolls last month or was it this month, can't remember. Anyway, they wings have a little peg on them which I assume fits into the back of the doll.

They only showed 4 different wings. I am not sure what the other 3, to get 7, would look like.

    2. blakrose I saw that article too. I wasn't sure at first if they hotglued the pegs in so there was some speculation on if they were removable or not, until yesterday's posting

I'm definitely getting at least one as a valentine present so I'm happy

    3. I hope it's all right to post this. The link below has the dolls ready listed for pre-order with face-ups in either the chocolate, snow or normal. I am not affiliated but have ordered from them (far more than I should) and have been happy with their service. It also explains that you can order your head, gender and skin color and the wings came with all. My So Ji came from them.

    4. Denverdoll has excellent customer service. Wow that was fast it wasn't there last night. They only ship in the US though fyi to others

    5. How much is the shipping for them?

    6. I've been waiting for these little ones to come out. I want to get a little girl to go with the wishel I already have. I should be able to afford one too.

I believe that it said on the site that each little one will come with all 4 wings. Did anyone else see that?

    7. Yuuki yes I saw that too. The chocolate one says 7 wings.

I'm going to try to swing a snow white and a chocolate one. The more I stare the more I'm loving the chocolate. Already has visions of them in my head :love :love .

They're going to be siblings for my sleepy head Kohaku. They have a cabinet of sweets waiting for them. Now just need to decide which heads I want.

tinies have a way of getting to you don't they.

    8. Hi Blakrose:For Denver Doll the website says it depends on where you are - they charge actual shipping and you put in the method you wish (USPS, UPS, 2nd. Day,etc.) and that is within the US. ~Kathy

    9. The do ship to Canada, as well.

But when it comes to customs, you can probably avoid the charges if you order straight from Orient Doll, as the Denver Doll is in the U.S., and I got dinged for charges (almost $9 on a $20 order!), but I've never been charged from the overseas OD.

    10. I wish they had a layaway. I don't have enough to buy 2 dolls now.

    11. If I can swing it, I think I'll get one chocolate and one snow skin...yeah...only 2...well....maybe three..

From what it looks like to me, the chocolate skin will be limited (on oreint site they are under limited) and other skin options are in 'parts' so maybe not limited?

I just know I cant wait.....

    12. DDE does offer layaway on other bjds, so maybe once these little ones are actually released they will offer layaway on them as well. You could always email and ask. :)

    13. Were they both clothing orders? $20 doesn't sound like a doll order maybe one order is subject to custons another is not.

I remember reading somewhere in the US dolls aren't subject to customs but textiles are so it's all in how the customs slip is filled out in some cases.

    14. I want to get white makeup on the dark skinned doll. I don't think I can specify the make up color and get a lay away.

    15. I was also thinking of white make up.

    16. Depends if the white makeup is default makeup for the chocolate. I asked Paula at Denver dolls so I'll post here what her reply is.

    17. I'd love to be able to afford more than one so that I could swap their wings. I'd like to see a chocolate angel with white wings.

One thing to be careful of if you get the basic or snow skin doll from the parts section from orientdoll directly is that they don't come with any eyes - so you'd need to add some to your order. (I usually always forget to check details like this)

    18. I ordered a snow skin Ye girl from Denver Doll! I fear I may have to have more, though! :)

    19. They are so freaking cute. Now if only I could convince my husband that a Choco So Ye would be a great Valentines day present.:|

    20. I love the little chocolate ones but I have several questions. I can't find my Haute Doll magazine and I am wondering when it came or if it's one its way as I know I'd remember these dolls. Anyhow if the wings are removable that is great. But how do you dress them and retain the wings?

Did the magazine show any of them dressed or were they like naked like on the webite? Wouldn't it be quite challenging to find clothing that accomodates the wing's peg holes? I don't ever see any boy clothing much for their So sized dolls and I thought I'd get a boy vampire this time. It's hard enough to find girl clothing for my Ji vamp so I don't know what you'd be able to find for a boy one. Any suggestions?

News--I posted on the Q & A board. The wings are held on with magnets not with pegs so clothing will not be an issue!
