1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Ouchie! BJD collecting is a dangerous hobby

Aug 9, 2005

    1. I literary almost broke two of my fingers.

    2. I haven't had any encounters with eyes as of late... but the restringing issue hits a chord with me. Two days ago, I played with my E-an and noticed that she was really loose; even after the recent restring I did, so... dumb me, with all the other stuff I had to do, sat down and unstrung her. While my mom offered to help, I kept telling her it's a "self-thing."

I've at least taken a couple tips while reading that I reaaaaaaaally need to get ribbon and/or the doll-stringing tool LOL!

But I typically use a set of crochet hooks... a small one to get the legs and a thick one to help guide the tension to the main S-hook.

So, long story short, blistered, nearly raw-slashed skin, but one victory to me! XD

I'm worried that one day, I might end up punching myself in the face from the tension letting go!
