1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Outing with Your Bjds - taking your BJDs out in public places

Sep 16, 2014

1. I take my dolls with me everywhere I go ^^ I don´t care about people. I love take photos to my dolls.

2. I took my dolls to the store sometimes I can find clothes for them at toys r us I just let employees know I have it cause I've heard other people have been accused of stealing the bjds from a store

3. When I get my first doll I plan on taking him everywhere I go. (not that I leave the house very often. >.>) I actually kinda hope people stare. :P

4. Before I dreaded taking my dollies out with me, but now I do so once in a while(though, just my Yos). I like taking them to Disneyland and the symphony and opera. I don't really get many stares.

5. how cute!im happy for all of you

6. I love taking my dolls out for photos. And every holiday/road trip one *has* to come along! :) Of course, they're not bjds (still deliberating on what my first bjd purchase will be....) and I'm a little worried about faceups getting wrecked or the doll getting chipped or something. Must see if that question is answered somewhere...
For me, half the fun of dolls is the pleasure of getting some good photos and sharing them with others who like the hobby too.

7. I have not so far. I need to do some outdoor scenes for the photos.

8. Just took one of my boys to the movies. We saw Big Hero 6. He dressed as Hiro and even brought BayMax along :)

Other people? Who cares. I'm having fun and not hurting people. We only have so many years on this planet, right?

9. Ahhh!! im so glad to hear robot&things response, makes me feel good about my self, bjd hobby is not hurting anyone :D and about getting ur first bjd, i tought so too! but she came to me find and dandy,i was afraid of getting messed face up or chipped parts of body, but no she was a wrapped bubble wrapped mummy so there for she was safe and for her face up.... AMazing! XD

10. So far I have only taken mine to anime conventions and to meet ups at our local anime shop. I have taken them to work a few times but I worry about people stealing them (since I've mentioned to a few how much I paid for them...big mistake.)

11. [IMG]

I take mine everywhere- on trips, to appointments, out into the back yard... I'm always careful about how I pack them, and to protect them from the sun of course, and I do tend to try to go on cloudy/overcast days. My home is simply not a very photogenic place to be. On the other hand, the world outside is absolutely brimming with possibilities.

12. Loptr he looks like he is wondering where to go next :)

I'd love to take my Nauticaa outside however I don't have a case to carry her in and I'm worried about getting her dirty and scratched. I'm hoping to get a case this Christmas and then I can take her out and do lots of pictures.

13. awh he looks adorable :) im glad you do so! i also take mine places, but lately i've been busy with school and so didn't have time to take her out. :<

14. I love taking my dollies out in public I care not if others look at me funny.

15. I haven't taken my doll out since I'm actually a bit scared of people staring at me. Do people stare a lot when you take your doll outside?
I do however always have the urge to take my doll with me every time I leave the house.

16. Some do. Some don't.

Act like (or believe) you're doing something wrong, and others will believe you are (aka stare at you).

Act like you belong in the space (which you do), and you'll be fine.

Rules I learned from public photography :)

17. Cuffs you should mind other people, personally when i take her out i do get looks but nothing harmful, they are staring at the doll either by how cute it is or plain creepiness for their point of view, but remember you are not harming anymore who see the doll :) I would take ur doll out if i were you, im taking mine out today once i finish my homework ^^

18. The first place I took my dolls was on a road trip to go to Mint On Card actually. But my tinies I take them everywhere, to work, to the store, even the movies.

19. I took him out to walking around the malls with me. Well, I had my friend at that time who want to meet my boy, and well, the people staring like crazy at us, but I don't care. Took those stares as compliment how my boy look so handsome so they had to stare at it a lot, lol

20. I'd be a little scared to take them outside...I always have bad luck. : (
