1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    2. I've been waiting for Peaks Wood's new event and the new Dandy boy and FoC girl are beautiful! Both have a human head and a non-human(no elf ears as far as I can tell). The fantasy resin offered for this event are Lavender Pink and Moonlight Grey. The pictures and more info are on their instagram!

    3. @Serein I saw the instagram update and I screamed! I was also avidly waiting the next FoC release and I’m obsessed with the fox version in moonlight grey skin :chibi I hope funds permit me to get her… I know the Peak’s Woods fullset come up to a high price ;; _ ;;

    4. @Dayme The fullset was more limited than I realized! If I'm reading correctly, there were only 2 each and both outfits with wigs sold out :( I'm hoping I can place an order for a 61cm Dark Elf Lune with the Gumiho Neo makeup. I'm just worried that the makeup option with sell out before I'm able to make my order

    5. Guys, you can find a hanbok, the hairpin and the fur cape everywhere on taobao.

The fox ears and tail can be done by every artist on etsy (and beyond).

And the wig was nothing to write home about.

Imho those 1k usd were unjustifiable. Even if there were just 2 available worldwide, dunno why you are crying. You should be happy you have dodged a bullet.

    6. @Demiurgo - I thought it was insane when I saw the price on that fullest outfit! 1,450$ for the outfit! That's more expensive than the doll itself, I don't understand how they priced that, maybe it was the individual artist who made the clothes and asked for that price? The fullset outfits have never been that expensive before! Sheesh!

I love Peaks Wood's dolls and the company but I agree that outfit was outrageously overpriced.

I'm really loving the whole theme this time though! The red eye makeup is such a fantastical look! I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone does with their dolls!

I haven't posted pics of Bodie here yet, hope you like him!

    7. @faireva Yeah I think it's a collaboration with some brand? I dunno. But the problem for me here is that PW released some iconic outfits (like the Alice in wonderland one) for just 100 or 200 usd that people can recognize at first sight and then they decide to do a collaboration and to drop in your face a random hanbok you can find on taobao for 1k...

I mean, you are clearly paying for the brand here. It's almost like Chanel designed that outfit.

But it's not enough for me. If they want my 1k they must send me chills down my spine.

I will buy the doll thou because I want a moonlight grey in my collection!

    8. Gumiho Miro is amazing, I love her face-up and those beast hands! :D
I can't do any new doll shopping right now but I just love the PW aesthetics so much! Their face-ups are always beyond amazing.
As for the fullset outfits, I usually love everything PW releases with their dolls but I would never actually buy the outfits, they're just too pricey for me. Plus I really enjoy sewing for my dolls myself.

    9. LMAO wasn't crying over something I had no intention of buying in the first place so there was no need for that. I made a sad face because it was sold out in such a quick time that even IF someone was interested in it, they may have missed out. There are plenty of other places to find a similar outfit and wig but it still doesn't mean that someone wasn't interested which clearly they were since they were bought.

    10. The outfit being priced at over $1450 was a real shocker for me. I kept thinking they put the comma in the wrong place and it was meant to be $145  There is no way I would spend that on a doll outfit personally. I agree with @Demiurgo that there are dozens of cheaper alternatives to find!
For Gumiho Miro, I'm still strongly debating whether to get her in moonlight grey with the faceup and gorgeous limited eyes but the exchange rate for my currency is really killing the mood for me right now :( I had also promised myself to stop buying SD dolls... but she really stole my heart...!

    11. I'm really tempted by Neo in the lavender pink. 61cm. I can't find any info on the PW site about layaway. I know they have it, but it's not searchable.
can anyone point me in the right direction?

    12. @petiteballerine I think you have to email them and then they'll set up a special listing for you to send your payment through every month under the layaway section of their site

    13. @petiteballerine - I found the layaway info at the bottom if the new dolls pages. I haven't done layaway with them yet, but I'd try the q&a or email as Serein suggested. :-) Excited to see your Neo! Lavender pink is such a nice skintone.

    14. I'm pretty upset that Peakswoods layaway is changing. Their dolls, when you add fantasy resin colors (which are priced more than other companies) and a faceup come out to be about $900 for a naked 60cm doll after shipping, and 3 month layaway sucks. I have been waiting for a release like this, but with their layaway changing drastically they're just going to be out of reach now.

I totally understand why they need to change it, that I should be happy they offer it at all blah, but this is a big change and it sucks. I really wanted to get a twin for my old purple Kasspio with this faceup. This is probably the best release they've had personally

    15. I'm sort of shocked at the final price, too. Plus, the layaway is not only short, but in view of anyone on the site; name and order #. I miss Denverdoll and their 6 mos plan.
I do understand the rise in costs in the doll world, but some companies might price themselves out of business. now I'm hesitating. :doh

    16. Do you know why they stopped? I emailed DDE to ask if I could order him and they told me they "weren't ordering these at this time". What's the point of being a dealer then? :sigh

I'm also worried about companies pricing themselves out of business. I mean I thought Soom Idealian prices were bad, but Peakswoods is getting pretty close to them. 68cm body, lavender skin and faceup is almost 1k I just.... what.

    17. I honestly didn't know about DDE no longer placing orders with PW until looking here. The lack of that 6mo. layaway plan and the fact that I've spent more time talking myself out of placing the order then anything else means that I'll be skipping this event. Hopefully they have another that offer the monster hands. But I'll be lurking here to see the beautiful Neos and Miros :D

    18. I also was disappointed that DDE stopped ordering for customers, although they have had a few in stock that they received from Peaks Woods. It's been years since they no longer took PW pre-orders, They used to be my go-to and I'm grateful to have a number of dolls when they were ordering.

    19. I'm hoping their new layaway plan is only temporary and that they'll offer their generous layaway plans sometime in the future. I usually pay outright but honestly their previous layaway options was one of the reasons why i'd always be happy to recommend them as a company!

I still adore Peakswoods but it's a little harder to recommend their dolls when this new layaway option is so short (especially coz their dolls are on the pricey side) :(
