Peakswoods Fairies of Colors Discussion PART VIII

I don’t think peakswoods are really popular in US or Europe, but for sure they are extremely popular here in Japan. But not many japanese people know DoA even exists. If you want to see them instagram or twitter would be a better place I’m afraid.

 

Before there was much more Peaks Wood dolls bothe here on DOA but the stile has change here as it’s much more man/boy dolls

But I have always loved PW and it was also one of my first doll ever plus I think they do a fantastic job on their dolls

And after not being so active I missed out on a lot of new PW dolls ,and that’s way I wanted to see if any hade
PW FOC Lemon Red Queen _Alice in Funderfulland .

I even asked my friend in Tokyo (that isn’t into dolls) ) to try and see if she can find this girl there

Anybody thinking about ordering from the Halloween event? I've been itching for a green doll so I think I might go for it!

Also wondering if anyone can say how much PW charges for shipping to the USA these days? In March of this year I paid $70 for shipping 3 wigs via EMS from Korea... and have avoided buying anything from Korea since. Though I'm sure prices vary between companies, I'm thinking it would be like $150+ to ship a doll?

 

I saw the Halloween dolls, I really want Lune But I just got two full dolls this year with 4 floating heads I’ll have to settle for owner pics
And wow $70 in shipping for wigs I don’t want to even imagine what shipping a full doll be like now. I was lucky I got my Supia with free shipping (I think it’s the last time they will do that) and my other doll was also free shipping

I really REALLY want a Lune the Dark Elf in Emerald. I regret not ordering him last year. But that potential shipping charge scares me!

Does anyone have a 61 cm boy with the monster hands? Does it look ridiculous? I'm trying to picture it because all the promo images are on the 68 cm body

 

How long are the Halloween dolls available for and what is generally the wait time on these? Also what do the crystal eyes look like vs the tear eyes? Also it lets me choose options but still says that it is sold out so would I have to get an account for it to show up as something I can add to my cart? Still considering one of these...they’re really neat. Thank you!!

 

@Masteryoda It's the body, Dandy61 is 590$ and Dandy68 is 680$. The different bodies can be viewed in the "FOC Dandy - parts" section ^^
You can get both sculpts on both bodies.

 

I'm so very close to deciding to order a grey Lottie and a grey Mimi Crow!
I am also considering if I should get 2 additional grey heads just to have some variety...is that too crazy? I don't have any other floating heads, but the grey color is AMAZING and super versatile

@Masteryoda the Halloween event starts tomorrow at 6pm Korean time, so from tomorrow the sold out will be removed. The event ends on the 27th 6pm Korean time.
I confess I am also very confused by the tear eyes. I believe the crystal ones are the Oscar Eyes.

 

I’m liking the monster hands a lot too. The fantasy colors are great! These are so unique! They are very tempting for sure!! Does anyone have any pics of them from from last year I wonder? Thank you for helping me out!

 

@I<3MySD - I think the 61cm monster hands look proportionate imo. I posted some photos of my monster boy if you want to look. The 68 cm boys have larger hands than the 61 cm boys.

 

That’s nice to know that Peaks Woods has paid that much attention to detail that they make the hands larger on the 68 cm doll! I would have thought that they would have used the same sized hands for both sizes so that is great!! These look like very detailed dolls...I’m really liking what I see.

Is Elf Tristan also going to be available?

Like so tempted that I can't resist buying a Dark Elf Blow.

I do want to mirror @Masteryoda's question. I wasn't able to find any information on the tear eyes verses the crystal eyes. I can assume that the crystal eyes likely have stones in them, but WHAT is a tear eye?

Maybe that is the reason for the “tear eye...” Those might be my crying eyes when I see the cost of shipping!

Oh ok! I have some eyes from them and it looks like the oscar doll eyes fairyland uses. They are pretty and have good quality.
