1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Permanent outfits vs Redressing

Nov 24, 2020

    1. Semi permanent! I end up having a favorite outfit and stick to it. But I do like to change it for seasonal or holiday purposes.

      Helps to save money, but not a lot of fun lol

    2. I redress and move my boys around their corner regularly, sometimes for no reason. It's like:
      - Looks like you're tired of your t-shirt already, let's change it.
      - Haven't you stick to your chair yet? I'll move you to the bed;
      - Aren't you bored with reading this book? Here, take a laptop
      - Hey, you look like you're missing your friend, put on your matching couple shirts and give a hug to each other;

    3. I currently have only one doll that has a permanent outfit. Tielo wears the outfit he was buried in, before he was Turned into a vampire. Even my full sets have, or will have, more than one outfit.

      The rest of my dolls have a better wardrobe than I do, like it currently says in my signature. :lol: I can't stand having summer clothes on when its winter or vise versa. It make me uncomfortable to look at them when their outfits don't match the season. I even have some dolls that have cosplays and Halloween outfits that they wear.

      Let me tell you, it can be...interesting to have to change the outfits of more than 20 dolls, most of which are SDs or larger! but I view it as a way to bond with them individually. I choose one's outfit, shoes and/or hat, pet their heads and talk to them while I change their clothes. Its nice, and a fun time for both of us. And it also gives me a chance to see if they need a faceup, or hands, or anything else too.

    4. I have not purchased full set dolls in favor of buying and sewing outfits. I tend toward mostly black outfits so staining is a concern.

      The fun of owning dolls is: 1) trying different outfits and 2) developing characters for my stories. I think of my dolls as actors in my stories, so There are character outfits and some of the actors have a default outfit or I’m still finding the actor’s personality.
