1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Pirates! What have you taken from other dolls?

Jan 22, 2007

    1. All the time! Bratz and Barbie especially when Target has a good toy clearence. I have a kimono from a mini Little Apple doll that fits my OD So perfectly. I've done the porcelain doll thing too. I found a doll at the Xmas Tree Shop and for under $10 I got a dress, bloomers, socks, shoes and a stand. The teen trends stuff is nice too. My mini hates me right now 'cause I have him dressed in one of the outfits. But he looks so good! :fangirl:

    2. My dolls have gotten knitted sweaters, hats and scarves from Xmas stuffed animals.

We also snatched some outfits from Porcelain souvenir dolls in our travels.

    3. My brother cannabalized a porcalin doll for my girls eyes lol, I've stolen furniture from my old dolls and a few small items from various dolls I collected as a kid. I also destroyed an old skirt for her dress.

    4. I've bought mass-produced doll outfits for my dolls, but always the ones that just come on a card, haven't yet bought a doll just to strip it.

My sister, though, has some things stolen from Moxie Teens that fit her MNF girl, as well as the kimono off a poor doll found in the Goodwill. (In fact, I believe she's gotten more than one outfit by stripping a porcelain doll from the Goodwill...)

I do plan on buying a souvenir stuffed monkey at the airport before I fly home after the holidays, though, just so I can steal an 'I <3 Portland' shirt for my boys. I can give the naked monkey to my baby cousin next time I see him... (it's just a shame I couldn't have bought such a thing on the way in so I could give him the monkey for Christmas...) I was pretty excited when I spotted a rack of them, it's the one thing I always look for and I almost never find them when I have money! San Jose only had animals with the city printed/embroidered right onto the bear's stomach or what-have-you, none in tiny tees.

    5. My Little Pony accessories, Barbie dresses, teddy bear sweaters and hats, earrings have turned into necklaces and necklaces into bracelets. If you go to the pet store you can get small scenery.

    6. Let's just say that my daughter gets given a LOT of dolls that mysteriously arrive with bare feet...
