I have a question for PD owners! Would a 43cm head fit on a 41cm body? I want to put Roseanne's head on the 41cm body, but I'm worried it will be too big.
I think it depends on your individual taste. Personally- I think it would work okay. They are just a TINY bit smaller, so I wouldn't expect it to make that big of a difference.
Smaller by...like, a centimeter? I'm just curious, because PD doesn't list the measurements for anything. If it's really only a tiny difference, then it's probably okay.
Hi, back after a while in which I haven't been active on DoA, so I hope this still helps: On PlanetDoll's own site it always says the dolls are in stock, but what they actually seem to mean is that you are able to order all the options available, but that they still need to make the dolls. They don't have any dolls that are ready to ship, like e.g. Denver Doll does have. I think my order has recently shipped, as last week my order details changed to "completed". This time, I didn't receive an email about the order having been shipped, but I'm pretty sure my Rina (on 41cm B body) will get here within the next 2 weeks. Really excited to see her, as well as Dandy who'd I'd been thinking about ordering for so long. This time I made my order in Pink Normal, so I'll be able to soon find out for sure how the Normal and Pink Normal really look next to eachother. I'll try to post pictures as soon as Dana and Dandy get here, along with PD's Normal skin from earlier this year. I asked PD about the skintones in their recent new pictures (e.g. of Dana and Rina), and they very quickly replied that they are all in Pink Normal. So, I'm now wondering if some of their earlier pictures of the Pink Normal might be pretty "off" colorwise. Maybe the Normal is actually their oldest colour, and Pink Normal their later Normal skin (which came out late 2010, if I remember correctly)? I think you used to have a Dandy and Riz in the "later Normal", and you then got a doll in PD's "older Normal" after you asked if that was possible? Thing is, I got really confused, because PD sent me an order in Normal, just before they were about to add the Pink Normal as a choice, and all I knew was that their "Normal" suddenly was more of a yellowish-pink colour than my previous dolls. Anyway, I'll find out really soon now and share here. I've got a Roseanne and Riz on the 41cm body, and I'm fine with the size of the heads on the smaller body. Here's a picture of them from when they arrived: Roseanne and Riz on PD 41cm (B) bodies. (Both ordered in Normal skin, 2013.) I'm fine with it, because the hands are sculpted even nicer than those of the 43cm body, but the hands of the 41cm body might seem a tad small for these girls with their slightly bigger heads. Next to Riz, you can see 2 pairs of the 43cm hands I'd ordered for some other MSDs. I remember trying them for these girls too, but decided I prefered the smaller hands for them. If anyone is interested, I could try the slightly bigger ones again for the smaller body. The wrists are a little slimmer, so a little modding might be necessary, can't remember.
My first PDs were in the original normal before there was a pink option. I had a Roseanne and then Dandy and Cindy and yes, very yellow in comparison to other companies I had at the time. Since then I've had several come and go - one Riz was in a pinker color but I don't know if that's the new pink or not. It seems to me there was a new pinker normal before they had the two options. It's possible that became the new normal and the pink normal is a different resin or that it became the new pink or neither! Either way, I'm sure that neither the normal or the pink normal is as yellow as their original. I know I had a photo with the resins together but can't find it. So instead a blast from the past... Cindy and Dandy!

Well my pink normal Riz arrived and as I feared she is more pink than my other dolls. It's not the end if the world but I would have preferred the normal if I'd been able to find it in stock anywhere. Now I'll have to decide if I can live with the difference or not.
Sorry about the pink, Forever Virginia, but I betcha anything you'll make it work! You are so talented with your clothes and such. Wolfboy- good to see you here, I can't wait to see your new Rina. So far I haven't seen any owner pictures of her. And I agree with you- I think the 43 cm heads look just fine on the 41 bodies. Blablette - your girl is lovely, I hope we see more of her on here. I love this thread. I hope it resurrects. I've had too much Real Life Drama in the past year to really do anything, but hopefully things will be calming down now.
Aw, thanks! I think I'm just going to work with it. The difference is less distracting in photos for sure and with clothing and a faceup I'm sure it will be ok. I would have rather the normal but I wanted Riz the most and wasn't willing to wait a super long time... so there you go. LOL Here is a comparison pic - not so great light but you get the idea. Ah, yes. I just got a WS (OT) Mystic Kids Miri. I would have preferred a NS, but I WANTED HER RIGHT NOW, lol. So- I totally get it! I can't wait to see what you do with her. I love your photographs.
