Wow. All girls are so lovely. And photos of Paul make me want one.

 

Can anyone tell where I could find a picture of 41 cm girl hands? The site pics are really tiny and I have such a 'thing' for hands sculpt. TIA

ForeverVirginia: It's great to see your beautiful dolls again! Especially like the picture of your redheaded Riz!
Congrats on your new Riz's arrival. I'm sorry she's a little more pink than you'd hoped. My own normal pink order of Rina and Dandy came in a few weeks ago as well. Got the different PD resins sorted out now too. Normal and pink normal are both indeed different colours to any exitisting skintones prior to when PD came out with the normal pink.
And yep, the normal pink is quite pink, but I actually like it a lot. My guess is that over time it will mellow into a much softer colour. It's now still quite a bit pinker than my DiM dolls upon their arrival. Though my guess would be that the PD normal pink will turn into a much softer pink in time, like the DiM resin does. DiM (pink) resin turns into a lovely only slightly pinkish cream colour over time. I'm not going to spray the PD bodies with MSC, and see what happens.

cirquemom: I'm sorry to hear you've been going through a tough time, best wishes and hope you'll be able to post your cute girls' adventures, tea parties etc. here soon again! With things happening in my own life, I've been far less active here than I'd have liked to this past year as well, though thankfully not much Drama here. But I have started on Rina's face up now, and will post several pictures of her especially for you, despite not having finished yet. Gosh, I love that little face! Think she's my new PD favorite sculpt!

kkerin: Your Paul is so handsome! I love seeing all his many different looks!
The name of this thread is pretty misleading, as "PD mini's" - unlike those of other companies - are actually "tinies". Here's the link to the other PD dolls in Paul's size. You'll find a few other Paul's including my own there too. Hope to see lots more of him there as well so the girls don't outnumber the boys as much anymore!

bajib: I looked through my old pictures, but couldn't find any good pictures of the 41cm body hands there either, so I turned my planned photoshoot of my Rina in one focussing on her hands. Here's one picture for a start, and more can be found in the link below.
I'm very picky when it comes to hands too, and I love the PD 41cm hands, very realistic and even more defined than the ones belonging to the 43cm body.

Thanks, bajib. How great that you're getting a Katie! She was my very first MSD sized girl, and made me find out how much I love the PD body, so I ended up ordering more girls than I thought I'd ever have! Initially I'd planned on turning most of my girl heads into boys, but with that gorgeous body, I just couldn't do it with many of them.
Can't wait to see what you do with her!

 

Sorry for the shaky pic but I so appreciate the Katie advice and wanted to show her before she goes to the spa to be 'freckle-ized' Just look at those cute little hands and she stood rock solid and balanced on one foot straight out of the box!

wolfboy I adore your Rina! She has gorgeous hands! I have a question for you, assuming your Rina has the new neck piece mechanisme in stead of the old head cap system. I really want to buy a Roseanne in tan, but I'm so afraid changing her eyes will be almost impossible.
The hole at the back of her head seems so incredibly small, I can't imagine my fingers would fit through that (and I have quite small hands...)
Is it really almost impossible to fit your fingers through it? Because if it is, I am hesitant buying her new from Planetdoll, and I probably will have to rely on the second hand market (which almost always seems to be the case for my wishlist dolls xD) I hope you can tell me (or show me), so I can make up my mind


Last weekend I had a dollmeet, and Tamara of course went with me, and tried on a gorgeous Iplehouse set.

bajib: What a a gorgeous girl! I'm so glad you're happy with her. Will definitely be keeping an eye out for her when she's back with freckles: she's already soooo cute, but with freckles too?! And yes: those little hands, as well as the posing: gotta love that body!
Which skintone is she? She looks like WS a bit in your picture, but maybe that's because of the flash. I'm thinking of getting either a 2nd Katie in WS or a WS Dana next, along with a tan Rina as well. ( Yeah... had hoped I got my final group of PD kids all sorted with my last order, but Rina's made my head spin with so many new idea's, that I think I may need a few more kids after all.)

Don't worry about the new head cap system, you'll be fine! I can get in there with 2 fingers at the same time; it's just straight in for the eyes, and even just one finger would be sufficient if you make the eye stick to a finger with a little bit of eye putty. Really, especially with even having "quite small hands" yourself, there is absolutely nothing to worry about. I'll take a picture for you of how the back of the head looks when putting in eyes - somewhere within the next few days.

Calabri: PD tan is such a nice colour! Looks great with her green eyes too.

Sodabeentjes: I managed to take some pictures of the back of Rina's head for you today.

The head cap actually covers most of the back of the head, so the area you've got to work with isn't as small as you might have thought.
I've also uploaded a composition picture to my Flickr account to show what I think is the easiest way to insert eyes in these heads and how big the hole is in relation to my fingers.

And Katie is NS Wolfboy. I had to go back and check her sales information. The flash did make her lighter, but she is very pale. I think she has been in stock for quite a while since she is on the older body and was described as 'normal skin' no normal pink or yellow added to the description. It is a nice light color that will take well to added freckles I think. Thanks for all your help and advice!
