1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. 1. I am all for chubby dolls of all varieties, though I can't say I am much for pregnant dolls. Mostly cause I can't really see myself buying one, wouldn't judge anyone else for wanting/buying it.

    2. I would love for more diverse bodies!

Not sure whether I'd want a pregnant doll personally, but I would want them to exist!

    3. Gimme all the chubbies!

    4. A chubby one would be awesome but I think a pregnant one would be kind of odd. Not because of the body necessarily but just because they'd be pregnant permanently. Unless it was like this Barbie I had years ago that had magnets in her abdomen and a pregnant belly cap that you could pop off, I suppose. I could see how someone else would like it.

    5. I'd have no interest on a pregnant one but I'd love one with really chubby bottom and legs <3

    6. I love Dust of dolls and Leekeworld chubby bodies! They are so cute and i would love to have a Bomi and a Mikhaila.

    7. Some slightly chubbier dolls would be interesting, but I think getting any bigger would severely limit posing which I really care about. Pregnant dolls are definitely not my thing, I suppose I can understand why people would want one but I personally do not like the idea at all. Interchangeable torsos would definitely be a better idea than a whole new doll though.

    8. I know this thread is a little old, but for those following interested in pregnant BJD, one now exists: Pregnant Hui Xiang

    9. Wouldn't it be quite easily to stick some stuffing under a doll's clothing to get the same effect for photos without a permanent, sculpted pregnant belly? I applaud the creativity of doing something new in the bjd world I guess, but I would not consider buying one myself.

Chubby doll, sure. I love mokarran's chubby doll Viola - it's just been finished and is coming up for preorder soon. If anyone is looking for a 40cm range chubby bjd body, that one is hands down the best I've seen.

I think what I would really like is a doll with a build similar to Moana from the Disney movie. Someone on my feed was going to make her minifee into Moana, and she said she wished FL made thicker bodies - which made me realize that though I've seen some big-hipped curvy and voluptuous bodies - often very stylized with a very small upper torso - and those are cool, I have yet to see a not-chubby but moderately thick body, a stocky average body. Note that I don't believe dolls have to be realistic or that unrealistic dolls are harmful; quite the opposite, I prefer stylized over complete realism. I just think that the middling kind of stockier, thicker but not really fat body type is a very common one in real life and it would be cool if it came to exist in bjd form as well.

    10. Has anyone mentioned Viola from Summerbird Studio yet? She's an ADORABLE, slightly short 1/4-scale BJD who is definitely chubby! Her face is probably one of the cutest I've seen on a mature-proportioned chubby doll, and she has two bust sizes to choose from, which is a great option. Looks like a really great sculpt! I think her preorders are opening for a month in a couple days (July 17th?).

    11. I'd love a chubby aka curvy BJD! :D I think it would be cute! Chubby MSD girl's. :kitty1

    12. I preordered the Viola body <3 I loved her big belly and butt lol I may hybrid it with an unoa, minifee, or possible a cyclops head that already matches the skin tone I preordered. I think a chubby cyclops would be very cute and unique :D

    13. Ahh that sounds amazing!!! I missed the Viola preorder (she sold out REALLY fast, I'm pleased about it even if I missed my chance!), so DEFINITELY post pictures when she comes in!

    14. I would love more chubby (and different types of chubby) dolls. It's good to see more of them are being released!

I recently shelled a chubby character of mine using a wide muscular mirodoll 60cm boy body and some padding for the tummy. Clothes this makes an okay effect but if there was a premade body available oI'd be very tempted to reshell :D

    15. Chubby bodies or pregnant bodies don't interest me as far as doll aesthetics go. I like reading about little doll families and seeing pictures of proud new parents with their little offspring. But I don't think I'd want a pregnant BJD. I remember seeing awhile back someone did modify I think it was an Iplehouse? Doll to look pregnant and it was a beautifully done mod but I couldn't see it for my own collection.

    16. I have a chubby guy I would love to shell, he has horns and he is Chinese.
With all I have seen of chubby options, there are almost none, fewer males, and even fewer with the right eyes so I would have to do some modding. /:

I don't think I'd have use for a pregnant doll but I saw one on Instagram recently that creeped me out I hated her face º¤º
That might change, but honestly I'd most likely be content with stuffing a doll's shirt. I might consider one with a round tummy like a pregnancy but I might do some Mother Earth type character and they would also be chubby so it wouldn't be an eternal pregnancy.
      Pregnancy scares me D8

    17. I saw that doll. This just me thinking, but isn't the baby a little too small to the actual mother doll? Also does anyone remember the pregnant barbie doll that was the hot topic in the news back in the day? This bjd reminded me of that.

    18. @Lady Sai Inu

I dunno...I was a premie and born 5lbs, 6oz (2.4 kg) at birth, and I know several ~3 pounders. (In the USA, length and weight are no longer even automatic PICU admission criteria--from my understanding, it's now based on breathing and eating.) Both the ~3 pounders were sent home.

In conclusion, yes the baby is tiny so it fits inside the BJD, and perhaps this isn't the average size for a full-term infant at birth, but I think it is of reasonable scale for some.

    19. I love that pregnant bjd from AOD!!! She is so beautiful and the baby is adorable!!! She is going on my wish list!

I don't think the baby is too small either! My daughter was born at 42 weeks(I had to be induced) and she was a hair over 5 pounds and 18 inches long! I can't imagine having a baby any bigger as she ripped me up pretty darn good down there!!! I needed a lot of stitches.I am only 4'10" though I have an hourglass body good for birthing babies. I can honestly say that my hips didn't spread any while giving birth ,though I have heard plenty of other women say that their hips did spread.

My great grandmother who was 4'10" and 95 pounds had my grandfather who was a hair under 15 pounds at birth and this was back in 1915 when you had babies at home!!! They both survived though I don't know how! :aeyepop::aeyepop::aeyepop:
