1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Price difference between Tiny's, MSD's and SD's

Oct 1, 2011

    1. This is usually the case for dolls within the same company. The big dolls of company A costs more than the smaller dolls of company A, but dolls of the same size may differ in price between companies.
It's not wrong to try to get the most for your money, as long as you keep in mind that both quantity and quality can be bought with money.

    2. I don't know why, but I personally don't mind spending the same amount of money on a tiny, that I do on a MSD. I just love tinies so much, that they're worth it.
But MSDs are different. I made a hybrid with my Unoa, because I couldn't justify spending so much on her, when I could get a SD for the same.
Tinies are just special to me, and I'm willing to pay for that specialness.

    3. I think it makes some sense, as others have already said, making something at a smaller size is far more complicated than making it bigger so maybe that's one of the reasons but then again it does differ depending on the case, it might also just be related to popularity and detail of model.

    4. I (so far) only have tiny's.
There is Lewi, LTF 27cm, and Maddee, PP 11cm. HUGE hight difference. And Lewi was more expensive than Maddee. So I consider Maddee a realtively "cheap" doll. And Lewi a kinda midrange price doll. I've got two SD's on a layaway plan, and togeather my tinys cost what one of my big girls cost!

Fot me it's more that I find the really big dolls are less handleable. I'm getting two, but one might just be for a friend of mine :P
I love my tiny's becasue I can carry them around with me without lugging a huge doll around in a huge, heavy bag. They fit into most of my hyndbags, and they just travel so much easier! Plus I fing they have much more detail than bigger dolls. :)
