Question about Migidoll Ryu...

Thanks for the info! I'm going to ask migidoll if it's ok to organise a Singapore group order =3

 

I'm in the UK and will probably be placing an order... but our postal rates are so high, I'm not sure if it'd even be worth making a group order. I'll be ordering on my own, I think.

 

That is true... *chops the postal service in the UK* Maybe I will be ordering by myself as well ;;^^.

I will be PM'ing all the US Group Order people who have expressed interest to see if they want to Group Order now for Ryu and Miu only, or Group Order after Oct. 15 for Ryu, Miu and Miho (new boy whose pictures will not be released till later). US group order people, Please check your inboxes

 

I have posted an open post to Migi's Q&A board asking her to confirm price in USD before shipping for RYU and MIU, and also what skin colors they are each available in.

 

I'd love one! xwx;;; I'm going to order him as soon as he's avaliable!

Attention United States People:

It looks like we will be doing a RYU and MIU only United States group order that will close by the end of this week (on or around Sept. 21), as we have enough people interested who want Ryu right away. If you think you might want to join that one for a RYU or a MIU, please let me know ASAP as the order will close this Thursday.

We will be doing a second United States-only group order that will include Ryu, Miu and MIHO, but that order won't go in until Oct. 21 time frame, so if you want to join that one instead, there is not such a rush, but you'll have to wait longer for your heads.

I have a really bad feeling about giving Migi so much work.

 

Well, it's probably less work for her to handle a couple of group orders in a batch, than it would be for her to process every single person's order individually, and have to e-mail 15 people and make sure they all paid, etc.

Plus, she was planning to sell Miho anyway, so no doubt she was planning for some orders to come in...

 

Yeah, I know, I'm just worried the same thing will happen as last time, with the mold breaking >.>

She had nowhere near as many orders last time, I just hope she's ready is all. She might have help, I guess we really don't know this time. She's never had a three doll order before, and with the influx of Ryu... *flails*

I understand. We don't want to stress out Migi; I'm sure she has a life other than these dolls.

At the same time, I think a lot of people are worried about stuff like molds breaking, or this turning into another Bermann situation, and then they won't get this gorgeous guy. A lot of us didn't even realize how great he was till we saw people posting him on DoA, because the pictures of him on the Migidoll site didn't really convey his range. So forgive us if we're all getting a little overexcited :-)

I'll just be happy if I can get one at a reasonable price and have the cash go to Migi for her hard work, rather than have to pay an inflated price to someone else to get him. Part of the reason I put up a WTB was not only that if I didn't ask I have zero chance of getting a Ryu, but also I was hoping Migi would see that her doll was loved if enough people put WTBs, and would release him again. And it looks like she understood. So even if Migi could only do a small amount at a time that would be OK with me and the other people - we just want to make sure we're on the list for him. It will be such a relief.

Thanks for the well wishes, and I hope we don't come off as too want-it-now or whiny - again, I really think people are just kind of scared that they'll never get him or we'll have Bermann Part II. I for one was terrified that Migi's server would crash on day one of her three-day order period!

I was just curious as to the skin tone that she is selling for the current order of Ryu. Is it only "Normal" and "White" or is she selling "Suntan" as well? If not, has anyone heard if Migi plans to sell Suntan Ryu again???

 

She's only selling Normal and White (Snow) skin heads this time. No tan.
I'm not sure if she's planning to ever sell tan Ryu again because the tan is extra work and she's already going to be swamped selling three heads as it is.

 

I think she said this was the last release of Ryu ever so no more Ryus - suntan or not. Sorry about that

I'm actually sitting out on this one because I've found the Yo-tenshi I've been looking for, but good luck to you all. I really hope Migi is prepared this time around with a few extra molds just in case one of them does break. :X

I hadn't known anything about the mold breaking last time. D: How big a problem did that end up being with the ordering? I just really hope with potential problems like that the people who aren't taking part in group orders don't get shut out from getting a Ryu, since Migi will probably be taking care of the group orders first since they're mostly being pre-ordered and paid ahead of time. ;_; Waiting's one thing, but not being able to get him would really suck.

 

sleep_pattern > I don't know why, Migi never said she won't consider individual orders because of the group orders. It may be longer, probably, for everyone if she has more work to do, but I'm sure she will consider every order sent in the order period. Don't worry.
