Another of my Elf Lily as she just got a new dress by my friend Robyn of Period Threads Pretty in PInk by wizgerg3, on Flickr
Your Lily is SO lovely @JinCIncy !!! *love* her!!! I made a fantasy gown for my little Sunita too - I rather wish I’d used the green in the center panel as well rather than the lemon yellow. I’m working on a deep pink version.
Thanks @LyanneNZ !! If I can manage to get another of these cute little gals, it will be Lily! I am quite taken with JinCincy’s little gal!!
I wanted to share a new silk dress that I recently finished for my lovely Sunita. I used an adams-harris.com pattern - scaled up - for this little dress. 1800 Ange Ai Tiny BJD Doll Clothes Pattern The silk is a very lightweight turquoise fabric, bodice lined in cotton batiste. The silk ribbon at the raised waist and the decorative stitching were done in “snapdragon’ tone to brighten the turquoise. I made a separate bodice pattern for my Sunita as she has the ‘breast body’ rather than the flat. French cotton lace is gathered at the sleeve ruffle. Sunita’s pantalets were made with Swiss cotton batiste and French cotton laces. Even in this tiny size, I still love doing the heirloom sewing! Spoiler: Sunita’s pantalets and antique apron
Thanks so much @LyanneNZ !! Making the heirloom lingerie is one of my favorite things to do!! Just love those French cotton laces!
I admire that. I have no clue how to do it and would have to go searching up the techniques. I have a friend who loves sewing in this way too, I haven't been able to tempt her over to dolls just yet though haha.
