Wait a second! When did you order @Lady Ravenswood ? Mine still has no tracking, this is unfair! I'm telling Daddy Rainman he's favoriting you! I'm going to cry and stomp my feet untill I get results! I learned that technique raising kids, and it may not seem particularly effective at first, because mommie's and daddies know they shouldn't give in to such behavior, but if you're awful enough, they are so relieved when you stop, they end up "rewarding" you with what you wanted in the first place. A tracking number!

Oh yes, I didn't order July until the 13th. Then Kira and Blina on the 1st of this month. It is this most recent order where I have an "awaiting shipping" notice with a new tracking button but no tracking number

I asked in Q&A if there was a tracking number that wasn't entered right. We'll see how it goes... I'll take a peek now to see if I got an answer nope, nothing yet

 

Well, I found the spot where it looked like a tracking number was written, and I checked it and USPS says it was in customs already! I'm glad I finally figured it out, LOL

So it was my last order that shipped, which was an Anna and a Kira head that are on there way. I hope they come tomorrow

Edit : for my own reference and in case anyone has trouble finding or knowing if their order shipped, if, on the orders page, it changes to "Awaiting shipping" then it shipped. The new tracking button did not work for me. If you click "details" go to item picture, and under item name it will say "shipped by seller" then under that is your tracking number

 

My tracking number was located on the order list page after you sign in, just under the tracking button. The tracking button does not work, but the tracking number was written in under the button, so I just entered it manually with USPS or 17Track. Hope that helps too.

 

@Lady Ravenswood that makes me sound like the flake that I am, but I only log on via my phone, and checking there, it doesn't show up. Thank goodness, because I had a senility panic attack again, ROFL. I'm always afraid I'm going senile

 

Oh, haha, yeah I was on a computer. I wondered if the phone site might be different so thought it might be helpful to add both locations.

 

My order got stuck in customs longer than usual so they updated the delivery date to tomorrow instead of today. I saw that coming but it doesn't make it less painful, LOL. I was really hoping it would arrive today

 

They have been overly optimistic on delivery dates lately. They used to be a bit too long and would frequently get delivered a day early. Now it's almost always a day late!

 

I've been wondering if we are at all affected by the trade wars between our fearless leader and China's, LOL?

 

I don't think so yet. I think packages are clearing customs and being delivered in the same amount of time. And I don't think our toys are on the hit list yet!

 

Gosh, I hope it doesn't come to that, mostly because of the waste of bureaucracy. Once it's there, you can't get rid of it!

 

You know, the funny thing about Kira is that I wasn't too interested in her sculpt Until I realized she was based on Kira Rausch. And all the pictures I found of her have her smiling or being silly. She looks quite adorable and I am hoping to pull a smirk out with a Faceup.

Eeeeee! My July head just arrived.
It's such a gorgeous head. And the eyes look large and lovely, so I think it will work out for my idea. Now I have to find a body...eh heh..

Also...I was having issues and I could not figure out how to open the box for ages.
So uh, remove the beautiful slip cover with the photo.

Yaaaaaay, I received 3 heads!!! Anna, Kira AND July! I tried them on different bodies and took pictures in natural light.

First, there aren't enough Anna pictures, so she will be my main photo:


I don't think she has to be sad at all

Anna is on the first Supia double jointed body. This one is 1-1/2 years old and in normal skin my dolls live in a blackout curtains room with LED lights like museums use. Here you can see the proportions better. Skin tone is pretty close. I have a Supia body coming for my Blina dark head, but don't know if it will work with the Faceup. I probably won't mind though

Next, I tried out July's head on the 58cm LoongSoul bloom body, which is super poseable and I really wanted this head to work for my YT character from Snowcrash. But it just looks too big IMO. Also, I don't think the resin colors are coming out right. Head is paper white IMO

But when I put Kira's head on, her head looks so much thinner, and I think it works! I think I can still blush to match using a combo of yellow and white pastels.

She will have such an elaborate skating outfit, I think the long neck will actually be helpful.

Finally, I tried Anna on the Impledoll normal pink body, which belongs to my Elfdoll Hazy. The impldoll body is a Pinker color, but not the worst . I might get this for Anna as I see her as short, in fact I want to make Marcy from travelers, the character moreso than the actress

The Impldoll body is also a couple of years old, though only exposed to minimal daylight, it may have faded??

 

Yes, I tried my July head on a Dollshe Diana body, so 60cm but with wide shoulders. The head was still too large for my tastes (the head ate a lot of the neck) so I think for me it needs a 65cm body. I'm actually going to use my July head for a male character, so it works out well enough. Just have to find a body that suits the character. I'm glad I waited long enough to see that the WS has a pink tone and that it doesn't look as good as I thought it might on the Dollshe Diana body, hehe.

I don't know, I think my pictures look a bit orangy??? But it was outdoors??? Anyways, seems pretty paper white to me, except that picture. I wonder if the camera was compensating??? I'll have to take more resin comparison pictures after checking the settings???

Anyways:
So new plan :
Kira will be YT on a loongSoul bloom body, and I like that.because she looks more smirky

Hopefully Blina will look good on the Supia ballerina body.

Anna will get an Impldoll model body and become Marcia

And July will get a Rainman body when I can afford it

Now to paint...
