OK, I'm too impatient to share and her eyelashes aren't dry enough for eyes, but blushing to match turned out to be super easy and I finished her Faceup. I know it's not pro, but only so much $$$ LOL. Eyebrows are still my name especially when I'm trying to do blond .

I was going for natural, because YT (for Your's Truly) is a skateboarder and doesn't have time for makeup etc... Me

I think it's lovely. I think you did a very nice job IngieBee. She seems so warm and natural, her personality as you ascribed to her, comes through for me

Thank you Nancy, I think my husband stole my ear plugs, LOL. For their intended use, no doubt! I need them for my eyes now I need to sneak to his side of the room and find them!!! LOL

 

OK, I found some, Yaaaaaay! Here she is in crappy night photos on the shelf. I think the wig color is good, but it is way too big and pretty messy, LOL

 

I gave my Anna a Faceup. No lashes yet, I hate lashes!!! LOL. I'm also out of eyes. Still, there are almost no Annas out there, so I'm sharing what I got

Ugh, my eyelashes and brows still suck after all these years! And now my hand shakes at the most inopportune time, like when painting those teeth! LOL

 

Has anyone who ordered Eva with face up gotten a shipping notice yet?

 

How long ago did you order, @violetdale ? I know Koreans had a holiday yesterday and another on the 9th, which makes me think it's a good probability they took the week off...

Yah, that's still a pretty normal wait time The thing that makes a small producer like Rainman even more unpredictable is that he has to wait for the casting company to squeeze in his orders, and the Faceup artist is just one person as well )

Add to that that the summer is monsoon season, where the humidity ruins the resin as well as the painting, you get a lot of unproductive days. September is usually the end of the rain season, so everyone will be playing catch up.

Not trying to make excuses, it's just how this business seems to go. And we just have to suffer the waiting and Lack of predictability.

Sometimes, it seems, Rainman was fast, other times slow and it's only been a year he's been back. I'm also waiting on a painted head, and I'm gearing up for a looking wait

Anyway, I'm sorry I don't have better info for you. Oh, I can say one more thing, they won't email when shipped, you have to look at your orders page to see if your item shipped. To be more confusing, when it's been shipped, the order says "Awaiting Shipping" but on desktop you will get a tracking number, on my phone I have to go to details page and find it as one of the entries. Hope that helps @violetdale

 

Oh, I understand wait times and how small businesses work. I was just wondering if anyone had gotten a shipping notice yet. Thanks though.

 

@violetdale it'd sure be nice if you could put your info in the waiting room thread . I know you are near the end of your waiting period, but building a history of shipping times helps with waiting anxiety (or it just gives us statistics to obsess over, LOL). Or if you would allow me to, I could enter the information for you. I think it's fun vicarious living, but totally understand if some people find it intrusive, so I wouldn't do it without your OK

My Blina and Kira head came in and I've been trying to figure out proper bodies for them. Here is my Kira head on a resinsoul boy body and Blina on a supiadoll girl body

 

@KiwiNinamori , I have a Supia body incoming for my Blina, but she will have a Faceup already.... Hummm. Looks like she will need a different body if I want a better resin match ... Wait, Wow, the Kira head looks like a perfect match to the Supia body, and the Blina head looks way more pink! The resin colors look so different??? Ugh, looks like Rainman's resins are not going to be consistent.

My favorite doll manufacturer due to quality, price and services is Impldoll, and they do a fantastic job matching resin color, but I just don't see these sculpts on such big curvy bodies! I am going to have to try them out - maybe tomorrow, and see if my incoming Blina can look good on one. But I would have to grind the neck down too . Ugh, I am fretting again! LOL

 

@IngieBee the heads are actually the same resin color. I took a picture of them alone and they match fine. But the colors look different depending on the body in comparison. So resinsoul is pinker than rainman and supia is more yellow than rainman so it is somewhere in the middle spectrum. It is all about perspective.

 

That is so weird! It's like the grey that looks lighter/darker trick thingy LOL
