Well, that's weird??? All the products have been pulled from the site???

 

Rainman made a new head. Her name is Veronica and she looks like Vivian.

 

Why is the website devoid of product? .

She is pretty though

Ah, Rainman answered on Instagram:

"All sold out.. I will open soon with new heads~~in this month. You can buy unassembled body"

Even if the older heads won't be available anymore, it's nice to have the history still viewable. I'm going to suggest he keep a history gallery

 

I just asked Sabrina to reserve a head for me, when she receives Veronica. It seems like there won't be super many heads available. 20 NS and 5 tan.

So this is why I needed a loongSoul bloom body . Kira is a skateboard messenger named YT from the cyberpunk book Snowcrash. Her outfit will need a ton of modification but I figured it's easiest to start from a base and saw these black coveralls on Alice's collection

I want to get an Impldoll body for my Eva head. Does anyone know which Impldoll skin tone would match a normal skin Eva head?

 

Well, their normal pink would be closest, but it will be Pinker as the Rainman resin I have is slightly peachier, and my pink impl resin has mellowed out over time, I'm sure of it because it used to see. So pink! Not so much anymore. Also, the Rainman head would be a bit darker. Another thing worth mentioning is that you will need to change out the hook, or loop for something smaller.

Impldoll does do color matching but you'll have to send a sample in. Also, Eve would probably look best on the SGB star body.

I managed to get my hands on Elfdoll Eun-a head and now I need to find her a body.
I've been eyeing the new Supiadoll ballet body, since it looks mature enough for my liking.

My question is, would that be ok hybrid colourvise? Or then Dollzone in normal pink?
The seller couldn't say when the head was made but it is more in pinkish in colour since it has been storaged in the box the whole time.

Has the resin colours changed after the artist changed the name and other stuff to Rainman? :0

 

@Tuulen I've been saying it a lot lately, but it really is easy to use pastels to match a head to a body as long as the head is lighter, and not too hard to use white to lighten up a bit as well. Really, most Faceup artists can do this.

Now, I didn't do a perfect job but it's darn close, when I matched my Kira (pinkish) to my loongSoul normal yellow body. The only thing is, is your Eun-a already with a Faceup you want to keep?

Anyways, I feel a lot less anxiety over resin matching since trying this. And with an older sculpt, you are likely not going to get a good match, even from a new body from the same company. It's totally hit or miss, no matter how much you research, I know, I've been there done that for hour, weeks, heck, months on end!

I have posted photos in this thread, of the heads and bodies I had (recent Rainman heads) but I don't think they turned out accurate. Look at the one above: the legs toward the shoes are yellowed out a lot more like the head. I'm afraid I used a flash and it distorted the colors in that picture.

I'm realizing looking at the resins that they're not that different, and I figure I must have had the flash on. I think I better comment on the post...

(Disclaimer: Fairyland has so little variation even back to the Luts days, I'd be happy with any non-yellowed / greened matchup of old and new.)

But IngieBee is right that resin matching from lighter to darker is really achievable by pastel, but do be careful if you want to go from darker to lighter...pastel isn't really a good option from my experience. I've done layer after layer of white pastel to no real effect. Usually paint is the way to go if you want to go lighter. I hope there are more specific answers for the bodies you asked about.

Luckily the head is blank and never had a faceup, so the artist can start from a fresh base She comes with the oldest Supiadoll single jointed body, which is on the yellower side. From the pictures I received the head might be in the same colour range as my Dust of dolls wawa, maybe little yellower. If thats the case, then I can use Doll family F's servises again and have them colourmatch the body. If the match is even 85% decent between the Eun-a and Wawa, then luts 2017 ns would be a close match and also Dollzone pink ns from that era?

I’m fairly new to hybriding, so this is new and very exciting (and nerve racking ) at the same time. I own Ihavedoll Tune head from 2017 and Switch body from 2018 and they matched surprisingly well.

Wish I could show photos, would be easier to explain. I don't have any places where I could share my pictures since Photobucket and the other are no go.

Yeah, sometimes it just easier to wait till you have the head in hand. I hope it ends up being an easy match for you.

@Lady Ravenswood Thank youSomeone actually contacted me on instagram saying they have Eun-a on Fairyland 70cm body, and the match was pretty good. So, more pretty good options!

I love Sabrina's dolls and aesthetic, voted for her doll in the competition because her styling was really nice.
I love Veronica's little sly smile, she has a very pleasing face, and Im so very happy I was able to get one before it sold out

I hope when they arrive to Sabrina, that she will offer faceups? Her paint strokes are so very nice. I would have really loved it if she were able to paint Veronica for me, but Im just happy I was able to preorder one. I dont usually like smiling dolls because its too uncanny, but Veronica is different, she looks natural.

I also really like the closed eye head of July! I asked if we could get high heel feet, or the molded on heels feet like he has available with Eva but I only got a like on my message lol, I guess thats a no. I dont like bodies that dont have heel foot options... for both male and female dolls lol......!

 

I saw Rainman saying that Veronica will be smaller than the original Vivien, and more similar to July. Does anyone know how big the circumference is of July's head? And if possible what size neck, does she fit on

 

Got an Eva question. I think she may work on Dollshe 26F body, except for the shortness look to neck with head on, plus had to switch to smaller S hook. Someone has mentioned neck donuts. How do they work and where do you get them? I may just buy the Rainman body for her in the end if the neck gets too complicated to deal with..

July's head is just under 8 inches were the wig would fall (around 7 3/4 inches) and the neck hole is about 9 cm in diameter.

I'd say her head looks a little petite compared to other girl heads that I have because the face is not as wide as say my Dollshe Diana or Feeple65 Silvia (who also take more of an 8 inch wig).
