@lenacat26 she is so stunning. Is that your own faceup? Or from R&R's artist? I just love how you styled her. I hope I can do mine justice. I need to save up for a body still

My order came the other day...and it was the wrong head. I ordered the open eye Su head because I liked the closed mouth, and he sent me the half-eyes head with the open mouth and teeth part. I posted on his Q&A board and he said that he sent two people the wrong head and was waiting to see who got theirs first, then asked if I could send the head back to him...which I can't afford right now. I asked if there was a way he could send me a prepaid label, but it's Christmas so I don't know when he'll get back to me.

I'm upset because it's the wrong head (and I double-checked my order and I did order the OE head, not the half-eyes head) and I don't know how to pay to send it back, and that makes me worried that I'm just stuck with the head. It's a lovely head but I ordered the one I ordered for a reason.

What should I do?

lenacat26, thanks for photo. It is great for me to see both bodies together. I have Su head and I like small bust body for her and was afraid that Rainman body is real curvy. But it looks very nice and balanced.
So as IngieBee, I just must to save for her body.

 

I really like the body of July, the body is plastic, beautiful, obedient.

 

@lenacat26 , would July's head fit on the funky Iplehouse neck?

 

I worked very hard to put July's head on her body. The hook is large and the hole is small. I'm afraid to take off my head July again. Hands and feet iplehouse on Reinman’s body are not suitable.

 

Yes, the hole is tiny isn't it?! Still, it's amazing to see them side by side, I didn't expect the bodies to be so similar ins and size. Looks like Rainman bodies can wear Iplehouse clothes.

 

Rheinman’s bodies can wear Iplehouse clothes, better eid, jeans from eid will be good, sid are small.

I came here from the aprilstory thread to share some comparison photos of the Rainman girls with other bodies.it is dark here, pretty much the entire winter and i only have a small area of my room available to mess with dolls, so not the best photos but i thought i would go ahead and share anyway

this is what the rainman july looks like on the aprilstory girl without any mods or in my case a bit of paper stuck in her neck to bring the head up a bit...no neck at all lol

and then on the very old very yellow iplehouse nYID body i actually have her on, with her sister the Blina because she snuck in there
again i know these are blury and terrible lighting hopefully they can help someone out? i can try for better photos later

 

djgigahertz, thanks for photos. And especially for info about IMPL body with heeled feet, at first I was afraid that body is much more higher than others at picture.
One more ? about April Story body: making head donuts was hard? What material you used?
July looks great at AS body. So tender
My last question (if you dont mind): your feelings and findings about Rainman body (maybe in comparison with AS and IMPL). Price for body (unstring) with shipping is very high (and with custom fee it will be terrible) but I like this body and aesthetic/ poseability is important for me.
So it is about saving money for more expensive body if this is really worth it or go for cheaper option.

And as you can hopefully see she’s just a touch taller than the Rainman girl
Making a head sit higher isn’t hards, for the pictures I literally just rolled a bit of paper into a tube shape and wrapped in around the top of the neck around the string, if that makes sense, it’s a silly way to check if a head would work sitting higher, for a more long term solution I usually just put a ring of hot glue in the heads neck hole.
And I’m going to be honest, price is a huge factors for me but I actually think that the Rainman body is worth the price! She posses easily and naturally, both the impldoll body (the version I have, newer versions seem a lot better) and the AS body have trouble sitting, they both have very finicky legs. The AS body is beautiful but she’s not a great poser, and her sway back makes it harder for me to get natural relaxed poses. They both want to sit only with their legs out straight or they fall backwards, but the Rainman body sits beautifully, she stands easily even on carpet and I think she manages it naturally. I was nervous about spending the money too, but I’m really glad I did...I hope that giant wall of text helps at least a little

 

I just wanted to pop in really quick and let you know that my girls neck has been sanded a little bit and while she has good mobility and the head looks fine with a wig on the neck is a little thick

@djgigahertz , I can't express fully how much I appreciate all this info and the photos you have shared. It's incredibly helpful! Just in case it's helpful, when sitting down the Impl body, it has one of those hook mechanisms to lock in the angle of the upper leg like this and this.

Unfortunately, Rainman's body won't fit the first 3 heads he made without modification. Their neck holes are too small. This has been SO helpful, thank you so much!

Oh, I just realized you have an early version of the Impl body. They string it differently and put slits in the front. I've heard those bodies are indeed very difficult
