djgigahertz thanks a lot, this was very helpful and I decided to save for Rainmanking body.
I have Kira head at (very damaged and bad posing) DollShe 26F and because I am totally newbie, I am fighting with her stringing. My plan for NY 2020 is sueding her and restring so I hope this all will work an the end.
For Kira head I had to do lot of sanding around neck (DollShe was 10 cm) and around heads neck hole but she has as long a neck as a swan :-)
It is not perfect because of these dollshe silicon thing around neck so maybe something else will have to be worked on.

 

Ugh, so I was told my Dark Blina head would ship out by end of December, but it still hasn't . The Faceup artist became ill and fell behind. I'm wondering if anyone here has more info?? Sure could use some encouragement and support, LOL.

 

Oh man, glancing through the comments again, I see we all missed this! You must contact them through their Q&A board on their site, let them know. They need to make this right.

 

IngieBee sorry to hear it, but I hope she would be beautiful and worth of long waiting.

 

In all honesty, it's only been a little over 4 months, which isn't the worst, but I do hope she'll be sent out this month!

 

My painted Eva head arrived last month while I was out of town. To apologise for the (6 month) wait, they included a free pair of earrings and pierced her ears.

I had asked on the Q&A board when I ordered if the painted head had pierced ears and if it did, could I request no ear piercing because I didn't want it, and the answer was that the head did not come with pierced ears. So I think they did it to be nice?

She is so beautiful, exactly like the sample pictures, but I am a little bummed about the holes But they did it to be nice so I don't want to complain. And I really don't want to return her because she is perfect otherwise and what if the replacement isn't as nice? Assuming they'd even let me exchange her? Ugh, I'm trying not to be ungrateful but I really wanted her to be perfect and she's not what I expected.

At least I know it's probably going to be 6 months or more now

Did you get the Eva painted head or a different one? I would rather they take their time and do a good job and they did an amazing job. Like, she looks exactly like the promo pics. So I'm happy I waited.

 

@violetdale , I got the dark Blina. I just fell in love with that Faceup the moment I saw it. And you are right, I'd rather Opaleighty do a good job than rush to get it sent.

 

violetdale congratulation, Are this holes visible or aesthetic disturbing? I have some Vallejo product (for resin action figures) which has a function as filler for surface irregularities. And could you please please post photo

I just don't like the look of the earring holes when there aren't earrings in them. They look unnatural to me.

Wow, she is amazing! I can't see the holes ina but the last picture, and must admit I expected them to be a lot larger and more noticeable. But it's not my doll. She is really stunning though!

Could she wear those stick on beads that look like pearls? That way the hole is covered and you can easily remove them if you want her to wear earrings that dangle?
And she's so stunning!

 

It's not that the holes are badly done, I just prefer unpierced ears. I don't like permanent mods on my dolls.

 

violetdale she is beautiful, congratulation. And hole is not disturbing, but your frustration about doll not to be as you dream up is acceptable/ understandable. As IngieBee mentioned, for me it is not disturbing and with pearls as suggested Suwalo she would be glamour stunning. Really like her. But you are owner of this doll, so sorry for your disappointment.

No worries! I contacted him through the Q&A board and after about 2 weeks of back and forth, he sent me money to ship it back. It's currently in transit back to him with no word on the correct head yet. Back to waiting!

 

Helloooo! I recently bought @KiwiNinamori's Blina head on Instagram! Ironic too, because I also planned for her to be a boy, but the head is much smaller than anticipated and finding a proportionate body is going to be ... *fun* I found several prospective female bodies, but nothing for male bodies yet...

By the way, a lot of photos are broken or missing towards the beginning of this thread. If anyone posted a photo early on, you may want to check that it still works.
